Crystal’s Review:
I wanted to read this book just because of the title and the cover of the book. It just looked like something I would love to read.

Erica has been married to Shawn for several years. If only he had shown his true character before she said the words “I do.” She lives everyday wondering is she will die or be alive for another day. She’s in a very abusive relationship with a rogue vampire. She doesn’t know that other vampires are not like Shawn. The only outlet she has is college and her friend Kevin.

Kevin knows what Erica is going through but he can’t do anything to Shawn until Erica leaves him. What Erica doesn’t know is that Kevin and his family are vampires. Kevin runs a place called VCTF (Vampire Crime Task Force). This means he has the means to keep Erica safe. The other secret he is hiding is that she is his mate.

I loved this book. It made me love vampires even more. Kevin is the kind of vampire I would love to be with. Yes he blows up and can get angry but he is very patient and considerate of those he loves. He needs it all for Erica, who has a lot to get through. More than he knew to begin with. The author did a wonderful job bringing out the personalities of her characters. I can’t wait to read the other books in this series. I don’t know who they are about but I know I will love them.
