It’s been a good year. No deaths in the family (so far!) this year. Two new babies born-one great nephew and one cousin. Both on my side of the family. Both boys. Last year we had a girl born into the family. Little Sophia who is an absolute cutie. The boys are both handsome little devils. Charlie is the absolute mini-me to his daddy. If he has his temperament, my nephew and his fiancée will have their hands full, lol.

I finished a book. Yay! Waking Tamara is in the hands of my beta readers and I’ve already been getting feedback. Thank you my awesome ladies! So that is in rework right now. I’m nosing around for an editor. I’m giving myself breathing room, so publishing date will be in May. In time to get copies for my June, July and August book signing.

I’m only doing three this year. Wild Deadwood Reads in Deadwood, South Dakota. Writers on the River in Peoria, Illinois. Finally, Terra Haute Convention Center in Terra Haute, Indiana. Mainly because I have family sprawled all over the area there, lol.

Christmas Eve was great. We celebrated with a brunch at 10:30 that lead into dinner! Brunch, presents, building gingerbread houses, then games until 8:00 pm. A fun filled day. On Christmas Day we walked down to my daughter’s house and watched the granddaughter open more loot.

I could go back to all the holidays in 2023, but I won’t! Both my son and daughter’s birthdays are in December, along with my husbands. We see more of each other in that month than all year, practically. Unless we go to the state fair more than once. Then we park at my son’s house and walk over to the fairgrounds since he is just a couple of blocks from State Fair Park in Milwaukee.

I’m in green. My husband behind me. The one in red is my son in law. My daughter is half hidden by my granddaughter (her daughter) and then my son’s girl friend in front of me and my son making a weird face. We love the camera, lol.
