Book Spotlight – Aphrodite’s Secret – Samantha Ketteman

AphroditesSecret 200x300 (2)

Kaira, still reeling from the loss of her younger sister in a tragic boating accident, lives in the dark world of exotic dancing for survival. When one man enters her life, her world is turned upside down and inside out, where reality and fantasy seem to intertwine.
Kaira feels the eyes of a striking man watching her every move on stage. Zane is a scarred man with many secrets, one of which is the knowledge of who and what Kaira really is and the danger she will face.
While Zane fights a subconscious battle about what to tell her and whether he cares enough to get involved, another has noticed her as well. An Ithacan, sent to destroy her for what she is and take her powers to the God that has commanded all Forgotten be exterminated. The God intends to absorb her powers and rule absolutely.
Before Kaira realizes what is coming for her, she finds herself tumbling into a world where a scarred man that she is inexplicably attracted to will become her only hope. A hideous creature, one such as she’s never seen, is hunting her and trying his best to destroy everything and everyone she knows to get what he wants for his Master, and only Zane knows why.
While Kaira thinks it coincidence that Zane shows up at the club the girls like to frequent after work, Zane uses the planned interception to explore the pull that he feels towards Kaira, when he has cared for no one but himself for so many years. After finally meeting, Zane notices that the Ithacan has also followed and as their eyes meet, they both know that the battle for her soul will come; who will win is less important as the insistence Zane feels to tell Kaira who and what she is before she ends up like her sister.

As she sashayed her way to the center of the stage, exaggerating the swing of her hips with each step, she glanced around the few rows that were in her line of vision. The spotlight focused on her made it impossible to see further. It looked as if it was a full house tonight, which was a good omen for her rent fund. She gave a small, slow sexy, smile, and sauntered over to the giant gleaming pole standing like an old friend in the center of the stage. As she swung around in a circle, back arched out from the pole to better display her more prominent assets, she was mentally singing along to the song. Kaira hated this song, but it seemed to go hand in hand with the costume she was wearing for the night, and she had a whole routine devoted to this particular outfit and song. Sadly, this was one of her more popular costumes and characters. She shimmied down the pole, spreading her legs and bending over before sliding her backside back up the pole in a move that would have made many women blush; or fall over; or both. She turned to face the pole, jumped up, and then maneuvered herself so that she was then sliding down the pole head first, gripping it with her legs. She slid all the way down to the floor before releasing the pole, rolling over, and crawling her way along to the first row of eager faces beaming up at her.

“Over here, sweet thang!” she heard amidst the hollering and cat-calling going on above the music blaring from the speakers. She crawled along the edge of the stage, frequently sitting up on her knees and swaying to the music, gathering the bills that were being held out to her like candy being used to lure little children towards strangers. She silently wished, for the thousandth time, that she could just reach out and gather the money in her hands, but as was custom, she had to let these alcohol soaked men place the bills in the side of her G-string or other miniscule clothing items. She had lost her plaid schoolgirl skirt sometime after her midriff baring; button down shirt had disappeared in the first couple of rotations around the pole. Now she was crawling on all fours in a skimpy G-string and a rhinestone bra made for a child instead of an abundantly endowed woman.

It Has Arrived- Roping Love! – Giveaway Too!

Ten Years ago love slipped through Chance’s lasso. This time “He was going after her and she didn’t stand a chance, just like a calf in a chute, he was going to rope her with his love and ride back into her life.”
Carrie Stewart is a dedicated horsewoman. She runs a successful breeding and training program. She is a good friend, a good sister and a favorite aunt, but she has been burned by love. Carrie has never gotten over her first love, Chance Ryan. After ten years of absence Chance shows back up in her life. Should she risk her heart again, with the man who left it broken at her feet in the past? Chance has some serious work ahead of him to win back the one woman he could never forget.

I am so excited to share Roping Love with you. Would you like a little teaser?

Chance felt like he’d been thrown from a bucking bronco. Ten years. He hadn’t seen her in ten years. And it was just like before. God, she was even more beautiful than she had been at eighteen. Time had matured her body, her curves a little fuller than they had been. Her hair was short now, almost boyish in length, but curling softly around her face it looked feminine and flirty. It was a deeper shade of blonde now too, a golden honey color that looked stunning against her sun-bronzed skin. What the hell was she doing here? And who the hell was the kid with her? Chance was busy doing mental math, the kid looked nine or ten. Carrie had called him several times in the months after he left. He’d never returned her calls. Could she have been trying to tell him she was pregnant? No it couldn’t be, she would have told him. Wouldn’t she have?

“I’d say small world, but since it really is a small world and we haven’t run into each other in ten years…”

Carrie arched one eyebrow, he always loved when she did that, it looked so haughty and hot.

“What brings you here?” Chance asked

“Same as you I guess, looking for some brood mares.”

“Actually, we’re selling this mare.” Nodding at the other, nearly forgotten man in the stall. “This is my brother, Chase.”

“Nice to meet you,” Carrie said, looking down at Tyler, “Well, we need to get to the Coliseum, Tyler wants to see the cutting.” Keeping her arm around his shoulders they turned to leave.

“We should talk,” Chance said

Carrie looked over her shoulder and stared him straight in the eye. “I think the time for talking is long past.”

The phrase she was so mad she could chew nails and spit screws ran though his mind at her look. Damn. He had really fucked things up between them. Why hadn’t he taken her calls again?

Oh, yeah, to give her a chance at a good life.

“I really need to talk to you.”

“There’s nothing left to say.”

Mesmerizing Mondays – Helen Johnston – Interview

Beverly and Tamara: Welcome to SSLY. Thanks so much for joining us today. So first why don’t you tell us a little about yourself.

I grew up in my family’s home in the County of Hampshire, England. My childhood dreams were filled with the desire to become a dancer. An only child, but I was never alone, my years were spent entertained with my vivid imagination. I met and married my husband not long after leaving school and soon after our son was born. My family is made complete with my two cats who are spoiled rotten, which results in them often thinking they rule the home.

My life consisted of home life and a few jobs in the retail industry and my vivid imagination refused to stay quiet. So combined with my love of erotica and all things vampire I decided to try my hand at writing and has never looked back.

Tamara: What do you HAVE to have when you are writing?

Silence and chocolate.

Beverly: When did you start to write?

Seven years ago.

Tamara: What do you think are the qualities that make up a “hero”?

My “hero” has to be tall dark and handsome, and be good with animals.

Beverly: Can you describe your favorite character? And which of your books is he/she in? How do you come up with your characters?

The favourite character from my books is Blake. He is in my, Journeys of Innocence Series, book one to three. I write a full profile bio of each character, down to weight, eye colour and every little detail about them then come up with a name that suits them.

Tamara: What are the hardest scenes for you to write? Suspense? Sex? Dialogue? And why?

I found the sex scenes easy to write, the dialogue was harder for me.

Beverly: What writer, if any, influenced how you write?

I wouldn’t say influenced as I didn’t read any books in my genre until a few years after I had started to write.

Tamara: Who would you choose as your “book boyfriend”? From what book? Author?

There are so many! Just one? Can’t I have more? Ok one… It would have to be Wrath in the Black Daggerhood books by J R Ward.

Beverly: What is the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done? Or would like to? What? We are all about the love!

Lmao! I would love to go to a BDSM club, I was invited to go, but who was taking me got sick and we couldn’t go. But one day…

Tamara: What are your favorite types of heroines? Do you like the damsel in distress who needs saving or the kick-ass variety? Why?

I think both are great. My Siobhan is a little bit damsel, but by the end of book three of the series, I’d say she is a kick ass kind.

Beverly: What was your worst date ever?

It would have to be when I was quite young and my best friend and I had agreed to meet up with these two boys that were in our classes at school. We didn’t have any money and neither did they, we ended up all night sat on a wall and not talking very much. We didn’t see them again.

Tamara: If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you?
(you have food, water, shelter, all the necessities, so nothing mundane)

If my husband wasn’t there then, a never ending supply of batteries and a good sex toy… A lot of good sexy books to keep my mind amused and an mp3 player with good music on.

Beverly: What is your “guilty pleasure”?

Buying handbags and shoes and eating far too much chocolate.

Tamara: What dream or goal have you yet to realize?

To see my books on sale in my local Waterstones. (huge book shop chain in England)

Beverly: What was you most embarrassing moment?

I was away on an all girls weekend a few years ago, dancing and singing along to Kings of Leon, your sex is on fire. I was jumping and dancing and turned to the man by the side of me and sang, well shouted, to him the chorus “your sex is on fire” to my horror it was Gil Birmingham who played Billy Black in the Twilight films. To say I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me up is an understatement.

Tamara: If you were a color what would you be and why?

Black, because it’s the colour of night and I prefer night to day.

Beverly: Who has influenced how you perceive love? Why?

I don’t think one person has, I think as you grow up and older you learn that love grows and matures with you. It’s human nature for you to perceive love different at different stages of your life.

Tamara and Beverly: Okay. We are SSLY so I have to ask. Who loves you?

Well I hope my husband, my son and my two cats…
Now for some quick fun questions:

Boxers or briefs?
Coffee or Tea?
Neither as I’m allergic to caffeine…
Tall, dark and handsome or Blond and buff?
Tall dark and handsome
Hairy chest or smooth?
Slight hairs.
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Mix them up and have both
Kinky or Sweet?
Depends on my mood
Fast or slow?
Again depends on my mood
Public or private?
Hmmm in my head public.
Top or bottom?

How did you get interested in writing about BDSM?

I was very very naïve when I set out to write my Journeys of Innocence and for me I kind of fell into a world I had no idea even existed.

Have you ever been to a BDSM club?

No, I was invited to one in London, but the person fell sick and we couldn’t go. But one day I hope to go, only to observe.

What about that lifestyle interests you?

The whole trust issues, for me are fascinating and the fact that love has no bounds.

Would you say you were a Domme/Dom or a submissive?

I’m not really any of them, I just write about it I don’t partake in the lifestyle myself.

Welcome to Innocence Lost.

Get sucked into the Journey that is Innocence Lost. Impossibilities and heartaches, wonder if love prevails all. Join us as we follow the story of Siobhan and Blake as they battle through the trials and tribulations of two very different worlds.
Blake is an Elder Vampire, over four hundred years old, dark, mysterious, bold, tall, and extremely gorgeous, as only a vampire as he could be. Centuries of feeling incomplete, knowing there’s a part of him that is missing, a part he yearns to be complete. Never knowing he would find this in the oddest way. A chance meeting with a gypsy fortune teller has him intrigued when she foretold of when and where he could find his Queen.

But he is warned there would be many brutal obstacles to be overcome before any kind of happy ever after could be accomplished, before his Queen, the missing link to his soul, the woman whom would complete him, would be safe in his arms.
Siobhan, pronounced (Ser-bi-on) is a beautiful young woman, an innocent, on holiday with her friends when she unexpectedly meets a tall charismatic man who completely and utterly sweeps her off her feet. She is drawn to him like a moth to a flame. He’s so sexually dominant, taking his time to initiate her, step by slow step, patiently and completely too all the carnal pleasures, her body could endure. What he made her feel…
But unbeknown to either of them, a dark and evil presence from Blake’s past has been observing them, planning to shred their worlds apart, and sooner rather than later. Siobhan is cruelly ripped from his embrace and is thrust into a world beyond anything she has ever dreamt of or could ever have imagined existed.
Follow us as Blake has to battle with forces he’s not sure he can defeat all to bring home the one and only woman he would ever have, love and desire with all that he is.

Christina Cole and the Creative Process

The Creative Process
I am sitting here in the middle of a mess. Dozens of books are scattered around the room — reference books, a few westerns, lots of romances — and my desk is littered with notes, calendars, last month’s royalty statement from my publisher, and a few classical CDs. Let’s not even talk about the paper plates with the remains of the cheesy Mexican chicken and bean pizza I’ve been eating while working. A shipment of printer inks just arrived along with an order of fragrant essential oils — my weakness — and everything is crammed together in my tiny little office. Yes, I will put it all away…as soon as I figure out where it all goes.
Without doubt, the best definition of creativity I’ve ever heard is “making a mess, and then cleaning it up.” The first time I heard it, I was in the midst of a project with papers, cut-outs, and notes strewn across the floor. I could definitely relate to the “making a mess” part of the equation. It’s true. Being creative usually involves a big mess.
But I’d never before considered the “cleaning it up” aspect. That day, however, as I begin putting the pieces of the project in order, I realized how perfectly the concept worked. Yes, we make messes, but as we clean them up, the mess turns into something new, something exciting, something we’ve created.
Writing, of course, is one of the most creative endeavors we can pursue. I’m surprised, though, by how often people try writing stories without making any mess. Too many writers seem to think that the act of writing something down — whether on paper or on a computer screen — means making a commitment. Some struggle with character charts and interviews, and attempt to outline every last detail before they begin writing. Others, who like to call themselves “pantsters” claim to sit down and write without knowing where they’re going, but as often as not, they end up writing themselves into fictional corners and don’t know how to get out. They run into walls, often referred to as “Writer’s Block”.
The problem in both cases, I think, is that dreaded fear of “making a mess”, because heavens! If we make a mess, we’ll have to clean it up. It sounds dull, it sounds boring, it sounds like a lot of hard work.
Maybe, but writing is work. It can also be fun though.
Right now, I’m not only sitting in the middle of a literal mess in my writing room, I’m dealing with a ridiculous mess in my head — figuratively speaking. I’m throwing out ideas for a new romance. And, brother, do I mean throwing!
I have Daisy, and I have Cecelia, and maybe I have a werewolf or two. I don’t read or write paranormals, so where the wolves came from is anybody’s guess. I have political intrigue, and a fantasy world with a grand Procession of the Nobles where the rich throw alms to the poor. Nice idea, but it will probably get tossed in the trash when I clean up this mess. I have an evil mistress, no idea who the main character is — will it be Daisy or will it be Cecelia — and there’s a greedy aunt and uncle, and Athene wants to help her father by sleeping with Michael, and maybe Daisy catches them together, and oh, my! Daisy was involved in some moon-goddess cult and she was out dancing naked in the moonlight, and somehow they killed a man, and now if anyone finds out it will ruin Michael’s political career because she’s supposed to marry him since his brother died and…enough. It’s crazy. It makes no sense. It’s not supposed to at this point. It’s just supposed to be a mess.
Later, I’ll clean it up and somehow I’ll figure out where everything — and everyone — goes. The werewolves will probably be banished to Siberia, and the moon-goddess cult might become something slightly less fantastic. The greedy aunt and uncle could turn out to be extremely kind, supportive folks, and where it will all end is anybody’s guess at this point. But, once it’s cleaned up, it will be all right.
Every romance novel I’ve written has started out as a mess. I play around with my characters, spend hours writing silly scenes where they sit and talk to one another about the story and the roles they’re supposed to play. They do weird things — like throwing their hands up in the air and then catching them. I like to write weird things while I’m making my messes.
Writing is work, but work can be fun, and as long as it’s fun, I’ll keep doing it.
My point is this: don’t be afraid to make messes. Have fun when you write. Be outrageous. Do crazy things. Grab every ridiculous idea that pops into your head and play around with it. Afterward, when it’s time to clean up, you can throw out the trash. Or better still, you can hide it away somewhere. Never know when you might need a werewolf or a greedy uncle!

Author Bio
Christina Cole fell in love with words at a very young age. She’ll always be grateful to her grandfather and his patience as he taught her the joys of reading. Throughout her childhood she loved telling tales. She begged and pleaded for her mother to type them, but soon — with her grandfather’s guidance — learned to type for herself on his old Underwood. Things have changed now. Her grandfather is gone, and so is the old typewriter, but Christina’s love for story-telling has remained strong. She now does her typing on a computer in a cozy little writing room filled with books, treasures, and a much-cherished photograph of her grandfather.
She is married, lives in the midwest, loves history, hates winter, and is happily at work on her next historical romance.

Out Of This World – V S Nelson – Interview – Eternal Nights

Beverly and Tamara: Welcome to SSLY. Thanks so much for joining us today. So first why don’t you tell us a little about yourself?

Beverly, Tamara and guests, thank you for having me. It’s a joy to be here. Well for starters, I’m proud to say I’m a Native American and a Scorpio which probably tells you why I have a love for the paranormal. I also love, love… being in love, making love, and writing about love. I retired from my teaching career after spending close to twelve years battling the heat in the Middle East. So where did I move to when I returned to the states? Where else but Arizona where the summers are much like they were abroad. Hey we can’t knock our winters – where else can you BBQ your Christmas dinner and not freeze to death?
I’ve been writing professional for years but up until three years ago I primarily wrote non-fiction and text books. Switching genres’ was quite an awakening for me to say the least. Still I am happy with my decision and my muses who constantly bug the dickens out of me are much nicer looking than the old professor type who use to hang around in my head.

Tamara: What do you HAVE to have when you are writing?

In the morning hours coffee. If I’m writing after twelve an ice cold diet Pepsi. When I’ve had a productive day I like to reward myself with a glass of wine or an Amaretto on the rocks and a good meal.

Beverly: When do you start to write?

Six days a week you can find me at my computer working on one book or another before the sun comes up. Normal wakeup time around this house is 4am.

Tamara: What do you think are the qualities that make up a “hero”?

Heroes, like normal people come in all shapes and sizes although it’s nice to see one that looks more like he is physically fit than a couch potato … Didn’t I mention I love, love… and good sex? But a hero isn’t categorized by his physical body. I believe he needs that sort of personality that magically draws you to him, regardless of his weaknesses AND he needs to have an inner personality that screams he is ready, willing and able to save the world.

Beverly: Can you describe your favorite character? And which of your books is he/she in? How do you come up with your characters?

I love watching characters grow, mature and come into their own regardless of their hero/heroine status; characters with human emotion and faults always tend to grab my attention. My favorites change from book to book. In my series, Sekhmet’s Guardians I really didn’t care for Jennifer, the heroine in book one but as she developed, grew and learned who and what she truly is, there was no stopping her. Her counter part, Gabriel, was solid, strong and committed to what he believed was his obligation. As she grew, he too changed into what he once was—a loving and sometimes clumsy man who had a zest for life. United, they are very active in the entire series even though each book is dedicated to another couple. Referring back to book one again, Raphael seemed to have captured most readers interests and many cheered him on in his “courtship” of Jennifer. Raphael eventual finds true love with the woman of his dreams in book two, Eternal Nights where he and Jennifer’s sister, Jessica take center stage.
Perhaps my most favorite of all the characters within the series has been Ronan, the elder Selkie who is Jennifer and Jessica’s father. He came to live among the immortals and humans with no concept on what it was like to live in the modern world. Watching him struggle with everything from language to using a fork and knife has been exciting and very entertaining.

Tamara: What are the hardest scenes for you to write? Suspense? Sex? Dialogue? And why?

Dialogue flows easy for me. I just picture two people talking and write out what I hear. The hardest thing about writing a romance series was the first sex scene. I’ve written so many now that I no longer tend to hesitate or shiver when one is needed. For me personally it’s the scene when someone is injured, near dying and you have no idea if that person is going to survive or not. I have found myself sitting at the computer crying my eyes out more than once while I struggled to put the scene into words.
Beverly: What writer, if any, influenced how you write?
I don’t think we have time to list them all. I do know that H.G. Wells sparked something within me as a child and continues to do to this day.

Tamara: Who would you choose as your “book boyfriend”? From what book? Author?

Mathayus, from Max Allen Collins’, The Scorpian King. Of course, the Rock aka Dwayne Johnson who played the part in the movie is one great hunk too.

Beverly: What is the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done? Or would like to? What? We are all about the love!

I’m not sure if one would call it kinky but my DH has a habit of asking, “who do you want tonight – Raphael, Gabriel or someone new,” when I am having trouble with a sex scene.

Tamara: What are your favorite types of heroines? Do you like the damsel in distress who needs saving or the kick-ass variety? Why?

I actually like heroines who are in-between the biting the lip self-conscious shy woman and the kick ass heroine. As I previously mentioned, I like to watch (especially my heroines) develop and come into their own.

Beverly: What was your worst date ever?

Probably the one where my boyfriend came to pick me up. I think we were planning on going to the drive-in to see a movie and a little make out session. Anyway, shortly after he arrived, he told me he was going to marry someone else. So much for the movie…

Tamara: If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? (you have food, water, shelter, all the necessities, so nothing mundane)

Mathayus and his two brothers who look just like him.

Beverly: What is your “guilty pleasure”?

Only one? Probably my diet Pepsi, followed by chocolate, flavored coffee, and good wine.

Tamara: What dream or goals have you yet to realize?

The one that has yet to manifest itself is seeing my series on the big screen. Isn’t that similar to what every author wants? To be on the NY or USA Best Seller list and to have your book the talk of the town? I’m not even sure how I would respond to either but a gal can dream.

Beverly: What was your most embarrassing moment? It can’t be worse than mine… getting caught in the back of an orange Gremlin by the police!

Oh haven’t we all had a dozen or so of those. Probably the worst for me was the time I met Clint Eastwood for the first time back in the 1970’s… I was sitting in a bar in Carmel. Clint and my husband at the time were casual friends. Clint walked up behind me, bend down and whispered in my ear, “I really don’t bite, no matter what the press says, but I do nibble if asked nicely.” All I can say, years later, is I am so glad I didn’t piss my pants because that is what I felt like doing! I was still dumb founded when he took hold of my hand and led me out to the dance floor.

Tamara: If you were a color what would you be and why?

Purple, because it’s always been my favorite. Some say it’s spiritual and in many ways it is.

Beverly: Who has influenced how you perceive love? Why?

Probably my late great grandmother. She was an incredible woman with an incredible loving and generous heart.

Tamara and Beverly: Okay. We are SSLY so I have to ask. Who loves you?

Truthfully and unconditionally, my DH. By the way, he is the same man as the one who walked in on our date and told me he HAD to marry someone else. We were reunited after thirty years and are as happy as we were during our teenage years. We will be officially tying the knot on August 8th in Las Vegas at the http://www.romancenovelconvention put on by none other than the one and only famous cover model Jimmy Thomas.
I also hope I have gained the respect (and love) of my peers, friends and family.

Now for some quick fun questions:

Boxers or briefs? Neither- let it all hang out!

Coffee or Tea? Coffee

Tall, dark and handsome or Blond and buff? Tall, dark and handsome (add some mystery to that and I’m in heaven).

Hairy chest or smooth? Either as long as he doesn’t look like a gorilla.

Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate.

Kinky or Sweet? Kinky

Fast or slow? Can’t I have both and make it last a long, long time.

Public or private? Private

Top or bottom? Again, can’t I have both?

For BDSM authors only
Since two of my books in the series and another title I haven’t mentioned, “Sins of a Man, the Story of a Mafia Hit man” contain BDSM, so I have gone ahead and answered these questions.

How did you get interested in writing about BDSM? I didn’t, blame it on the Muse.

Have you ever been to a BDSM club? Yes

What about that lifestyle interests you? It’s just another lifestyle, like any other.

Would you say you were a Domme/Dom or a submissive? If I had to classify myself, I’d say, 100% switch.

With each passing day, Jessica’s consciousness grows stronger. For twenty years, she was content to remain as she was—trapped inside another. The life she led came to an abrupt end the moment she laid eyes on Raphael. At first, she suspected they were destined to be together–his gentle touch confirmed it. Although he didn’t know it, he ignited waves of a fiery passion that burned deep into her soul. It became brighter every day, giving her the strength she needed. Somehow she would find a way to free herself from her grandmother’s powerful magic.
Raphael doesn’t believe in prophetic dreams or angels and Goddess help him, the woman who enters his dreams nightly has to be one. With an ivory face as soft as velvet which radiates both pure innocence and sexual seduction at the same time, what else could she be, if not an angel?
He might not believe in prophetic dreams or angels but that didn’t stop him for looking for her. Every time he went to town he made sure he searched the crowds of people in the malls and in the night clubs for the platinum haired beauty he’d come to know so intimately.

Some quick reviews!

I have to admit, I like a certain kind of hero, a certain type of romance. I’m sure everyone has their favorites. But sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone. A man that would risk anything for the one he loves? A man who risks anything for those weaker than him, to protect the world around him because he can. This is what I think of when I think of hero. What I look for when I pick up a book.

But sometimes, you need something just a bit different. Here are few entertaining tales.

In the first one, I just have to say, I love a twisted fairy tale. I’ve always devoured them since I was a child. Grimms’ Fairy Tales, Anderson’s Fairy Tales, I read everything I could get my hands on. (I’m very fond of the erotic fairy tales I can find now!) Alice in Wonderland has always caught my imagination. Mainly because I adored the Hatter.

HHer Mad Hatter

Alice is all grown up. Running the Mad Hatter’s Cupcakery and Tea Shoppe is a delicious job, until fate–and a fairy godmother with a weakness for bad boys–throws her a curveball. Now, Alice is the newest resident of Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter fuels her fantasies and thrills her body with his dark touch.

The Mad Hatter may have a voice and a body made for sex, but he takes no lovers. Ever. But a determined fairy godmother has forced Alice into Wonderland–and his arms. Now, as desire and madness converge, the Hatter must decide if he will fight the fairy godmother’s mating–or fight for Alice.

This is a enthralling tale of Wonderland. Hatter caught and held my imagination. His tale is tortured and twisted and wildly crazily insane. This is one of those books that you can’t walk away from. It leaves its grip on you hours later. It captures your imagination, draws you in. Go on, get a little crazy. Read it and you will love this tortured bad boy as much as I.

All this tale did was addict me more.

Cowboys, right? *sigh* What’s not to love? How about a cowboy gone wrong? Guilt and grief can turn many a man bad. They don’t always have someone to turn them back. But Cole gets that second chance.

Her Fated Cowboy
Her Fated cowboy

L.A. cop, Jordan Masters Ryan has a problem. Her normal method of meeting a crisis head-on and taking it down won’t work. Not this time. Not when fate is her adversary. Having kept her from the man she thought she’d always marry, the same fickle fate took away the man she eventually did. Thrown back into the path of her first love, she finds hers is not the only heart fate has damaged.

Widower and software CEO, Cole McCall fills his days with computer codes and his free time working the family’s cattle ranch. Blaming himself for his wife’s death, he’s become hard and bitter. When his visiting former neighbor sets out to delete the firewall around his heart, he discovers there’s no protection against the Jordan virus. Though she understands his pain and reawakens his soul, will it be enough for Cole to overcome his past and embrace their fated hearts?

Both Cole and Jordan are hurting in this moving tale of loss and love. Jordan has bounced back better than Cole from the horrific losses in their lives, but you can’t always control your dreams. Always Cole’s nemesis, Jordan cannot bear the dead look and unfeeling man Cole has become. Jordan knows that she has to show Cole that life is worth living. What better way than to make him totally lose his cool?

In One Too Many Men (is there really such a thing?) You have a doctor and a gardener. One saves lives and the other her plants and quite possibly her sanity.

In One Too Many Men, physical therapist Lucy Jamison comes to grips with her glaring lack of a love life. Her mother likens it to her ability to neglect a potted plant to death in less than two weeks. Her best friend thinks she needs to throw herself into the dating world and find herself an orgasm-buddy. Doggedly, she sets Lucy up with one horrifically strange man after another with absolutely no success.

Until she matches Lucy up with Dean Coulter, a hot young doctor who treats her like gold, feeds her Chinese, and makes her body sizzle with lust. Lucy and Dean move from dating, to sex-capades, to nearly being a couple.

But there’s something missing–she’s not in love with Dean. Lucy’s in love with Gus, the abrasive though handsome plantery owner who helps her in her hapless efforts to keep her potted plants alive, along with her hopes for a love life.

With the good doctor suddenly proposing and Gus turning the sexual heat up on her, Lucy must decide which man is the one for her, before she loses them both.

One Too Many Men contains scintillating sex and romance, lots of bitchy humor, dating disasters at every turn, and a surrounding cast of wild women–all mixed together like a frothy frozen margarita.

I laughed. I howled. Lucy is hilarious and her BFF Bess is a wild one. Commiserating over “Cocksuckers” Bess’ version of a Slippery Nipple, Bess vows to help Lucy’s non exsistant love life. Enter the agoraphobic that calls her for a date, then the funeral home director…the creepy man that knocks on her door by mistake looks good compared to them…and the others. Bess strikes gold when she sends Dean to Lucy. In the meantime, between the underbelly of NY looking for a date, Lucy goes psychotic when her plant almost dies. Again and again and again. She runs pass florist shops (how could they save Ozzie they sell DEAD plants!) to find a gardener. A hot hunky gardener who Lucy immediately hates. But he stars in her amazingly erotic dreams. Too bad he’s gay. Or is he? Does it matter when Dean sends her into multiple orgasms every night? What will Lucy do with one too many men? Check Cosmo of course! lol! Read it read it read it! Hard to put down. Be prepared to be looked at funny as you snort and giggle and laugh out loud through this comedy of Lucy’s love life.
I didn’t even mention Lucy’s mom did I? 😀 Just go get it already!

Three delightful tales, all in their own way. I enjoyed them and recommend them, not your traditional romance, but who really has that? Life is different and wonderful and never normal.

So enjoy!
