Beverly and Tamara: Holly, welcome to SSLY. Thanks so much for joining us today. So first why don’t you tell us a little about yourself.
Thank you sincerely for having me here on your blog Beverly and Tamara.
I am a wife and mum of three living in England, work as a care assistant and love writing about intimacy and passion, with plenty of spice. In my spare time I enjoy reading, seeing friends and travelling around visiting Stately Homes and Castles.
Tamara: What do you HAVE to have when you are writing?
Drink, fruit and I-pod and internet on stand-by, for any research, that might be required.
Beverly: When did you start to write?
I started writing when I was a young girl. I remember back in junior school the only time I ever gave my full attention in class was when the word essay was said and then I would be taking notes and putting together what I would write about. And always got told I had a wild imagination… no kidding!
Tamara: What do you think are the qualities that make up a “hero”?
Personality, is the main key getting to know the character and understanding them and the way they would behave, what challenges they would or would not go with.
Beverly: Can you describe your favorite character? And which of your books is he/she in? How do you come up with your characters?
Gosh… what a hard question…literally!! I don’t have a favourite character I like them all, as they are all unique even the bad ones. However a character I have the biggest connection is with Stacie Clifford relating to her greatly, lacking in self-confidence and has hidden herself away, being the person in the background while everyone ignores her. The way I intend to come up with the characters is by getting the idea of the novel I am wishing to write, and then finding the characters to fit into it, but generally as I write the characters write it for me… I just follow them, bad or good.
Tamara: What are the hardest scenes for you to write? Suspense? Sex? Dialogue? And why?
Sex! I have to admit keeping the individual scenes alive and making sure they blend and fit the current situation for the characters and not repeating the same scene over and over again, that would loose the readers so keeping them in time and erotic. I love writing about the passion and intimacy, but as we all know its never that simple, and the best sex in after a good argument or spontaneous. Keeping the novel gripping, and good plots, can sometimes be challenging, and moving the characters on, and knowing when it is enough of writing about them… not allowing the audience to get bored.
Beverly: What writer, if any, influenced how you write?
I don’t have any particular author I have followed.
Tamara: Who would you choose as your “book boyfriend”? From what book? Author?
Gosh what a difficult question!! I honestly have no idea… am I allowed to choose my own Dan from Desires… he is sweet, caring, younger (always a bonus), handsome, invigorating, fun and very much knows how to romance a girl, yet the naughty boy keeps us guessing.
Beverly: What is the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done? Or would like to? What? We are all about the love!
Blushing here!! The thoughts of many things come to mind and have certainly written them in my books, but the one that sounds the best, outdoor naughty fun where the possibilities for getting caught are very high.
Tamara: What are your favorite types of heroines? Do you like the damsel in distress who needs saving or the kick-ass variety? Why?
I like to read different books, depending on the mood I am currently in, I love to read a typical chick flick that makes me laugh and cry, a damsel in distress and he or she comes along to the rescue but then I like kick-ass, action and blood sucking vampires.
Beverly: What was your worst date ever?
Dare I say hubby would kill me!!
Tamara: If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? (you have food, water, shelter, all the necessities, so nothing mundane)
Have they invented a solar powered laptop yet?? I would certainly have one of those and if possible, and please make sure I am stranded with nice looking men! Well inspiration is vital!
Beverly: What is your “guilty pleasure”?
Well Beverly I’m winking here!! Lol! A room full of hot men, catering to my every need…I have a theme going on here.
Tamara: What dream or goal have you yet to realize? Don’t make this about your reoccuring theme! LOL!
I would love to own a house in the Lincolnshire Wolds close to where I live for me and my husband, with no neighbours for miles to annoy us, and so I can write to my hearts content without interruptions and getting really annoyed.
Beverly: What was you most embarrassing moment?
When I was a young girl I took part in an assembly a play, where I had to come on the stage and do a silly dance… it might sound silly know and does even to this day I worry about it. I fell over and everyone burst out laughing. Since then I hate going on stage, I felt embarrassed and stupid and knocked my confidence.
Tamara: If you were a color what would you be and why?
Well Tamara, I would be green, its my favourite color and looks stunning in different contrasts.
Beverly: Who has influenced how you perceive love? Why?
My Gran, bless her who has passed away and miss dearly. I remember sitting as a child all snuggled into her, loving the comfort and security she gave to me. And she always said, you don’t need boys they are nothing but trouble!!
Tamara and Beverly: Okay. We are SSLY so I have to ask. Who loves you?
Wow… erm… gosh!! Well my hubby had better and the kids, or I’ll have words. My fans, they bring the largest smiles to my face and make me keep writing more and more. There is nothing better than seeing or hearing how someone enjoyed my book and they want more.

Desires—a place where fantasies are made flesh and dreams become real. From BDSM to being a dog, Desires can provide it with bells on, if that’s your kink. Stacie Clifford’s only desire is to regain her sexual confidence after her recent escape from an abusive marriage. She joins Desires looking for re-education in the joys of her body. There is only one condition; her contract states emotional attraction between tutor and student is forbidden. Stacie is fine with that; her heart is so battered she has no desire to give it to anyone else. Then she meets her instructor, Dan. Instantly attracted, at first Stacie thinks it will help to make her sexually comfortable with him. But when she realises she is falling in love, she can’t tear herself away, contract or no. Stacie knows that, no matter how kind and caring Dan appears, he’s just doing his job. Can Stacie overcome her own Desires and walk away?
