Release Date: November 10, 2013

Sara White is outwardly a good girl; she follows the rules; works in a professional office; has a boyfriend who treats her with consideration. However, deep inside her, there’s a craving for pain, a desire to be spanked and whipped, to be submissive, to be controlled.

One day, she walks into the House of Pain, a sex store in Toronto that also does shows in the back, where women are whipped and spanked in front of an audience. Transfixed by the idea, she signs up.

Doug Patterson has met Sara at work, but discovers a whole new side of her when he sees her at the House of Pain. He approaches her and suggests Sara become his submissive. Sara is attracted to Doug; but afraid of complication.

Will Sara surrender to Doug, and yield to her desire to be submissive?

Contains BDSM, flogging, anal sex, and much more…

Tara’s note: Doug makes a request, or is it an order?

We don’t talk much on the way back; I give him my address; he nods; and we are on our way. I keep quiet too. He doesn’t seem angry any more, but I can’t read his mood. When he pulls up in front of my building, I eye him hesitantly.

“Doug… I’m sorry about tonight.” And I am. He’s being a lot nicer about this that I had expected. He hasn’t yelled at me; he’s instead massaged cream into my body, and given me a ride home. I don’t deserve his kindness.

He doesn’t say anything; but he leans forward, kisses me gently on my lips. “See you Saturday, baby,” he says.

There’s still desire in me; a tightly coiled desire that begs for release. “Want to come up for a drink?” I ask hopefully.

Doug grins at me. “Normally, that’s a very tempting offer,” he says, “but I’ve an early morning meeting. Can I take a rain check?”

“Sure.” There’s disappointment in my voice; I try to hide it, but I’m not sure I succeed. “Thanks for the ride…” I say, preparing to get out of the car.

“Sara…” His hand is now on mine, jolting me to stillness.  “Are you turned on now, Sara?” There’s a peculiar note in his voice.

Honest communication. “Yes…” I confess.

He laughs. “In that case…” he says, and now, there’s a note of command in his voice, “it would please me greatly, Sara, if you don’t masturbate tonight. In fact, if you want to be really, really good, you won’t masturbate till Saturday evening.”

Whoa. There’s no ‘or else’ in his statement. He’s made his request, or is it an order he’s given me? In any case, I’m not sure what the consequences are to disobeying him, and I find I don’t care. I will do as he’s asked me to do. I owe it to him; I need to make up for the House of Pain tonight.

“Okay.” My voice is quiet, compliant.

Is this how it starts, my submission?

About Tara:

Hello, I’m Tara Cresent. I’ve always fantasized about being a mysterious spy, leading a secret double-life, and now, I find that that’s come true!

Sort of.

By day, I’m a mild-mannered corporate drone in Toronto, but by night, I’m limited only by my imagination; I am a daring writer of BDSM, erotica and romance.

In my spare time, I write of course. I also read, garden, travel, cook, and almost never clean. I just started watching Walking Dead on Netflix (zombie erotica, anyone?), and I’m impatiently awaiting the next episode of Doctor Who. (I would kill for a TARDIS.)

I’ve scribbled bits and pieces all my life, chiefly inspired by what I’m reading, which tends to be mainly science-fiction and fantasy, with a healthy sprinkling of romance and erotica thrown in.

I’m a huge believer in happily-ever-after, but tempered by real life, where happily-ever-after is possible, but takes work.  My favorite kind of romance stories are ones that are somewhat believable; I like strong men and women who know what they want out of life, and are driven to get it.

From time to time, I blog about what I’m writing at The blog is also where I post book excerpts; highlight information about upcoming promotions, and so on and so forth. Follow me there to keep up with all the fun!

Book Spotlight – Three Tiers for Win – Kathy Bosman

1376113_10200706344368045_1099426199_nThree Tiers for Win

Three Tiers for Win is a story of adventure, romance, and family passion that unfolds with the backdrop of the 2012 London Olympics. Elaine said she would never date an athlete as they’re too driven. That’s until she meets kind, yet intensely focused and ambitious South African Olympic swimmer, Winston Harper. He stands for everything she’d chosen not to go for. Win also has a bad family history which keeps him from opening his heart to her. When intense attraction and affection breaks through some of their barriers, family secrets and conflicts pull them apart again. Only Elaine’s support and Win’s brokenness can draw them back together, but will that be strong enough to wipe away the past?

Her hands shook as she spooned the mixture back into the food processor and he came closer to peer into the bowl. Electricity seemed to ooze out of his pores instead of sweat. She had a strong desire to rub the raised hairs on her arms.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“I’ll mix the baking powder into a paste and add it in.” Wish
he would go away so I can do this in peace.
“Good idea.”
“Aren’t the guys missing you?” she asked.
“Trying to get rid of me?”
Her cheeks throbbed, and she steadied the dish she was holding with all the willpower left inside of her.
“I’ll only go if you let me make myself some coffee. The other guys are drinking sports and fruit drinks. I feel like coffee.”
She laughed. “Are you eating right for your training?”
“Not really.”
“Okay.” She couldn’t help smiling. This guy was becoming more and more appealing with each minute.
“Ooh, there’s biltong.”
“It’s Mick’s. But I have some chocolate if you’re in the mood for being naughty.” Why did she say that? Now her face must be as red as a tomato because of the thoughts running through her head.
“Do you think he’ll mind if I grab some?”
She considered offering to buy Mick some more. The poor guy was starved. “What exactly did my brother buy for you all tonight?”
“Chicken salad.” The face he pulled forced a strange squeaky giggle out of her. She would have given her usual trill laugh if she didn’t feel so embarrassed and overwhelmed with strange feelings for the guy.
“I wish I had something else to offer you.”
“Come out to dinner with me. Then I can order a man-sized steak.”
Flustered was not a strong enough word for Elaine at that moment. She could swear the temperature in the kitchen was as hot as the oven and that the room was about to explode. “I have to bake a cake.”
“That can wait, can’t it? Tomorrow’s another day. If you want, I’ll help you with it.”
The guy was probably aiming to get into the Olympics team. They had two months left before the trials. He couldn’t be serious about giving up a training day to help some silly girl bake a wedding cake? That idea didn’t match the solid, oozing-with-masculinity man with piercing steel blue eyes, standing a mere two feet from her. She must be dreaming. Maybe she’d fallen asleep next to Peggy on the sofa, and she would wake up to find this all a crazy dream.
“I think a cup of coffee will have to do then.” He turned around and pushed the kettle button on. She hadn’t said ‘no,’ and now he was giving up. Her heart plummeted to zero in two seconds. She’d just missed the opportunity of her life to go on a date with the hunkiest piece of male on the planet.
What was she thinking? Of course it wasn’t a good idea. She wasn’t setting herself up for disappointment going with someone smooth and driven like him who would hurt her as soon as the athletic or model type woman came along.

From Me to You Friday- Tamara- Black Friday

I’ll start by saying I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and since last night was also the start of Chanukkah, Happy Chaunukah!

How many of you actually know what Black Friday stands for? It’s the day that retail stores hope to turn the tide of the year and get in the “black” and start making a profit. It’s sad to say, but profit seems to have become the main focus of the holiday season.

It used to be that the day after Thanksgiving was the start of the Christmas season. Now they are putting the Christmas decorations out on Halloween day and practically just skipping Thanksgiving. Stores are starting their black Friday sales earlier and earlier. They crept from Midnight, to Nine PM, then Four PM, this year I saw several stores that were starting their sales at 5 AM Thanksgiving Day!
I know several people who work in retail that were forced to postpone their celebrations until this weekend, because they had to work!

I’ll freely admit that I love the Christmas season. I love the trees, the packages, the cookies, the food… but mostly I love the “feeling” of Christmas. The way people are a little nicer, think of others a little more often, and smile more readily. At least in my Norman Rockwell imagination.

I don’t shop black Friday sales. Saving a dollar isn’t worth dealing with the crowds, the waits and the irritation. I hate to hear the horror stories of people fighting over the last “toy” or TV.
What do you look for when you shop? Are you looking for a bargain? Or are you looking for just the right gift? I love handmade gifts and gifts that required a lot of thought. Is this something he/she would really like. Not just the biggest most expensive thing I can afford.
Okay, I’ll get off my soapbox and try to sell you something! LOL.

I have a new release coming out on Christmas Day! Chasing Love, book 2 in the Circle R Ranch series

Chase is a thoughtful gift giver:
“She took a tiny sip and the hot liquid manna soothed her frazzled nerves. The sun was blazing through the front windows and she decided to enjoy her coffee on the front porch. When she opened the door to step outside she was shocked to find a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers laying on her doormat—Queen Ann’s lace, purple thistle, Black-eyed Susans and wild lilies, tied together with a big pink bow.
Curious, Samantha picked up the flowers and found a small white note tucked inside.

Wild flowers for a wild beauty. I hope they brighten your day as much as a smile from you would brighten mine.
Your sexy Cowboy”

“The two weeks before the opening flew by in a haze of activity. Samantha was crazy busy, and excited over the coming grand opening. But the highlight of the days were the gifts that appeared on her doorstep every few days…and the notes attached to them.
Two days after the flowers had arrived, a mason jar of Apple Pie Moonshine appeared. The note attached read—

Just like your kisses, the taste is sweet at first, but then a burn begins in your stomach and spreads to every limb. Keep sipping and you will become dizzy. I want to be drunk on your passion.

Three days passed before the next gift arrived, a delicate China doll, dressed in a beautiful Christmas outfit of deep green velvet.

The velvet of her dress can’t compare to the velvet of your skin.
Dreaming of you

Each gift was different and unique, and the notes were both sweet and seductive. Samantha had to keep reminding herself that a relationship with Chase would be stupid. His attention was flattering, but he was too young and lived way too close for comfort.”

Samantha Cross went out in search of a one night stand to celebrate her thirtieth birthday. She found more than she was looking for, when her sexy cowboy turned out to be her new neighbor, and seven years younger than her too.
Chase Ryan was looking for the one. He found her and she disappeared on him into the night. When he shows up at her door with an apple pie, the fun begins.
Samantha may run, but he is Chasing Love.

While you wait for Chasing Love, check out book 1 Roping Love

Fun with Rick and Jade ~ Kelli Scott

FunWithRickAndJade300Fun with Rick and Jade
(4 flames)
Contemporary, Interracial, Erotic Romance

Jade Li only wants what’s coming to her from her high-profile baby daddy—some child support and she’ll stay out of his life and off his radar. Committed to being a good mother, she’s left her high-priced-call-girl lifestyle behind and wants a fresh start. But because of her sordid past, she’s terrified of losing custody. What she needs, according to her attorney, is a husband.

Enter Rick Jette, younger brother to Jade’s attorney. Rick could use a wife and child for a business deal his future hinges on. Plus, he owes his brother a huge favor that not even marrying a sexy ex-call girl could repay. Marriage is not what he’d expected. At. All. The good, as they play house, was better than he’d ever dreamed. The bad—having feelings for his instant family—turns out to be worse than he ever could have imagined.

Rick Jette pushed the doorbell firmly. He heard it chime in some stately arrangement. Ding-dong-ding. His brother Bob thankfully called out, “I got it!” Thankfully, because Rick never knew what to say to Bob’s wife, Candy.

First of all, she was gorgeous. Second of all, she wasn’t too bright except about fashion, celebrity gossip, and proper martini mixology. Lastly, Rick couldn’t look her in the eyes, especially knowing she used to be a hooker. Correction—escort. Don’t want to make that mistake again. Note to self: avoid the subject of prostitution.

The door opened. Bob smiled wide. “Bro.”

Two things Bob had lots of, money and teeth. Rick wasn’t sure he came by either honestly. He’d probably brokered some back-alley deal in exchange for veneers.

His brother was ten years older than Rick. The only things they had in common were a mother and a last name, because their mom never married either of their fathers. She did eventually marry a guy Rick and Bob both referred to as Dickhead, but the union never stuck like the name had. Even their mom called him Dickhead. The nail in the coffin of the doomed marriage. With a marital example like Mom, it was a wonder either son could make a relationship last longer than a one-night stand.

“Bob,” Rick replied. They hugged, including a manly back pat.

When they broke apart, Bob shoved the door closed and waved him along. “Girls are in the kitchen.”

Girls? He swallowed a lump that lodged in his throat.

What choice did he have but to follow? Looking back toward the closed door, it felt too late to run. He’d brought with him his appetite and a bottle of wine he clutched by the neck. Home cooking did not happen every day, at least not in his world. In the kitchen, the aroma of roasted garlic mixed with a lemony scent. Add cooking to Candy’s repertoire. Go figure.

She greeted him with a double-cheek kiss. “Jade, meet Rick.” She waved her hand elegantly in the direction of what looked to him like living, breathing perfection. “Rick, this is my friend Jade. She’s staying with us temporarily.”

“Pleasure.” She bobbed her head in his general direction, but her tone denoted boredom along with annoyance and a hint of dread as well.

Author Bio:
Left for dead in an enchanted forest, Kelli was raised by wolves, which explains her thick coat of fur and keen night vision. As an adolescent, she was exiled from the pack due to her love of well-done steak smothered in ketchup (her penchant for blackened beef has also caused her ejection from several fine eateries). On her own, she roamed the streets, eating from dumpsters and sleeping in abandoned dog houses. Cold, starving and destitute, Kelli turned to the oldest profession—writing. Since her fall from grace, she has penned several smutty stories for which she has received many accolades. And despite her limited vocabulary, inability to punctuate properly and her well-documented spelling disability, Kelli has collected an assortment of awards (some of them for her writing). But what she wants most in the world is to return to the enchanted forest and her pack. As soon as she figures out north from south and east from west, she will do just that. Until then, happy reading.

Crystal’s Review:
If you thought the first book was emotional then this book is even more. I was on an emotional rollercoaster with this one. I thought I would be on one brothers side but I changed and liked the other better. I can’t tell you all that happens. If I did it would really ruin it for you. The ending is one that I didn’t see coming. I’m still in shock.

I was wondering if the author was laughing knowing how crazy she would make her readers? She did a wonderful job no matter what she was wanting. She wrote a really intense book and it needed two books to get it all written. I would recommend that you read the first book before you read this one so that you know what is going on.

You believe that Scott and Birdie’s marriage is going good until he is captured and tortured in war. When he does the things he does you wonder how someone that seemed so grounded and loved his family could do what he does. I just can’t get over what happened. I want to say what happens so bad but I won’t so that you can feel how emotional this book is.

I will just say that I really didn’t like Cody and Scott’s mom. She is the reason things happened the way it did. If she had just stayed to herself then things would have ended differently. The ending will bring tears to your eyes. This book will show you how much family really means. I loved how this author brought out the good and bad in all her characters. This is what made the book so good. In this book you will find out what someone will do for love. It might not be what you want or what you think should happen. When you care for someone you have to do what it best.
