#Review ~ Crocodile Tears

Becci

Shifter men are the worst.

After the latest one flipped out because I wouldn’t give up my job as a research scientist to play house, I accidentally shifted.

In a restaurant.

Into a twelve-foot crocodile.

Yeah. Not my finest moment.

REDS is my last shot before giving up on men entirely. And they actually find me a reptile shifter, hot and quiet with gila monster vibes in a good way. Things are looking up.

Right until I got tasered outside of my lab and six goons shove me into a black van.

I’m blindfolded, handcuffed, and on a loaded onto a freaking plane with no clue who took me or why.

But then? Boom. Gunfire. Chaos. And I’m being carried through the jungle by my not-so-mild-mannered date… who’s head I might have just tried to bite off.

Cal

I’m done with mercenary life. It’s time to settle down and find a girl who doesn’t mind a gila-guy with a bit of a dangerous vibe.

I don’t expect my match to be kidnapped by a bunch of paramilitary thugs. Seems the mercenary life isn’t done with me.

Good thing I brought weapons.

Now we’re on the run in the jungle, dodging bullets, trading banter, and trying not to die before I can convince her I’m not just the guy who blew up her captors.

Because Becci? She’s brilliant, brave, and beautiful… and I need her to be mine.

REVIEW:

Crocodile Tears was an entertaining read. It is the second in a series, which I didn’t realize. I’ll be grabbing the first one now. I laughed at the social awkwardness of both Becci and Cal. Becci’s scientific curiosity no matter the situation had me cracking up. Cal’s military and security expertise and his attempt to reintegrate into society and the dating world hilarious. Of course they both needed a dating service to meet someone! I got more than one side eye while I chuckled while reading Crocodile Tears.
