I’m back to gardening. I’ve eight raised beds and putting dirt between them for more garden surface, lol. I’ve too many seedlings and not enough room.
I’ve planted 3 types of tomatoes. Onions, four types of peppers, carrots, kale, spinach and lettuce in three beds. The next three have celery, Swiss chard, onions, zucchini, green beans and either turnips or parsnips. I don’t remember which! I’ve two small planters of strawberries, also. The other two beds have cauliflower, broccoli, onions and cucumbers.
I’ve also planted more Swiss chard, and radishes. In 5 gallon buckets I have cantaloupe and potatoes. I’ve fifteen containers of potatoes! Three different kinds. Idaho, russet and red potatoes. I still have more turnips/parsnips I can put in the ground. More cantaloupe, okra, sunflowers, beans, peter pan squash and cucumber to still put in the ground. I have two of the little 2 x 1 foot greenhouses I grow seedlings in. I’ve found out the hard way, some of them just don’t grow fast enough so I buy plants each year. Like tomatoes! The won’t fruit fast enough for the weather here in Wisconsin.
Maybe if I started the seeds in February, but I’m usually in Arizona. I need time away from the grayness that is Wisconsin about then.
My plum and cherry trees are growing fruit. Hopefully I’ll beat the birds to them, but I’m not holding out hope!
I’m getting ready to head out next week to Wild Deadwood Reads. It’s a book signing in Deadwood South Dakota. I’ll have my newest book there, along with my older titles. Once I get back from there, I’ll be working on finishing up my RV book. I’d like to have it ready for my next book signing, but I don’t think that will happen. No way the Zon will have print copies to me with the short amount of time I’ll have.
But it’s my next goal!
I have the outline for book 5 in A Dragon’s Fated Heart series ready. But my characters never seem to follow it. Darn it! Hopefully they will, so I can release it this year still. But I make no guarantees! Just when things are going swimmingly, life seems to get in the way!
I’ve a batch of baby bunnies in my yard so I’ll leave you a picture of their cuteness. Have a fabulous weekend!
