Viking Fire
by Andrea R Cooper
Blurb:
856 CE, Ireland is a land of myth, magic, and blood. Viking raiders have fought the Irish for over half a century. Rival Irish clans promise only betrayal and carnage.
Kaireen, daughter of Laird Liannon, is suddenly forced into an arranged marriage with her sworn enemy, a Viking. She refuses to submit. With no mention of love, only land and the protection of her clan, she endeavors to get her betrothed banished from her country. Will love find its way around her stubborn heart?
Bram, the Viking, finds himself without future or inheritance as a younger son in his family. A marriage to the Laird’s daughter would grant him land if he swears fidelity and if his men will fight along with the Liannons against any foe – Irish or Viking. However, the Laird’s feisty daughter only holds animosity for him and his kind. Is marriage worth the battle scars of such a relentless opponent?
With the blame for a rival laird’s death treacherously set against the Liannons, Kaireen and Bram must find a way to lay aside their differences as an unforeseen darkness sends death snapping at their heels.

Diana’s review of Viking Fire by Andrea R Cooper:
This tale tugs at my heart strings. I am Irish and Scottish on my mother’s side and I knew I would live this book before opening it to the first page.
Kaireen is 20 and unmarried. All but unheard of really. She fights hard to avoid this arranged marriage . . . with a Viking no less. They were the enemy and yet he came seeking land and an Irish bride in exchange for his protection? Not likely . . . She would not have this.
Bram is this Viking mentioned above and he loves the spit and fire in Kaireen. He had come expecting to marry another, but when he saw Kaireen and witnessed her spirit and her compassion, he knew he would marry her. And, he knew it would be a fight to win her heart.
I am not overlooking the O’Neill’s. Both the O’Neill’s and the Liannon’s households held traitor’s to both these families. A tainted son, a bitter woman. So much hatred wrapped in two individuals. So many die because of it.
OMG *swooning* the lust is seething though out this book. There is humor and warring and a fair amount of kissing. Not so much on the actual sex which is not needed to make this read hot and addicting. Totally loved it.
I read this book, freely given in return for my honest review. And trust me this is my honest review.
