Sir Colin Marr left his highland home believing he would never again see the woman he loved. Returning in search of traitors to Scotland, he discovers Sorcha MacKai is now his brother’s widow. Colin convinces her to help him find the traitors, but can he convince her to trust him with her heart.

Author Logo - Rue AllynAUTHOR BIO

Author of historical, contemporary and erotic romances, I fell in love with happily ever after the day I heard my first story. (Yes, I was a precocious little brat who read at the age of two, but I could hear much earlier than that.) I studied literature for far too many years before discovering that writing stories was much more fun than analyzing them. Heck, as an author, I get to read the story before anyone else. I am happily married to my sweetheart of many, many years. My husband and I share our home with our cat Junior, who condescends to allow me to feed him and clean his litter box. (Junior only tolerates my husband’s assistance when I am not available.) He occasionally permits me to pet him but demands my love and attention as his right (Junior, that is, not my husband. Although now that I think about it . . . . Let’s just leave that an ambiguouse conundrum for readers to ask me about when you meet me.) To continue, I am in awe of Junior’s feline ability to dominate with half a glance or a mere twitch of tail. Insatiably curious, an avid reader and traveler (me–not Junior).

I love to hear from readers about your favorite books and real life adventures. Crazy Cat stories are always welcome. You can send me your words of wisdom . . . Don’t shake your head at me; all words are wise in one context or another. You can trust me on this; I’m an author. As I was saying, you can send your words of wisdom, humor, and friendship to me at Can’t wait to hear from you.

Book Description:

A love story about when everything going all wrong might just be everything going all right

Ivy Baines has never had much luck with men.  Hell, she’s never had much luck with life.  And this week isn’t looking any better.  She’s a part-time playwright, full-time word pimp at a one-stop shopping spot for spruced up magazine blather that sells.  All she needs is one little itty bitty break–the one she’s worked so hard for–jumping through hoops and doing everything she’s been asked to get the next big promotion at work.

But when things spiral downward, it gets worse, before it gets better…and naturally there’s a man involved.  Three, in fact.

There’s Erik, the easy-on-the-eyes, flush-with-cash, power-player businessman.  Dan, the Harley-riding bad ass and professional house manager.  And Matt, the crystal-clear-blue-eyed, pheromone-dropping theater art director who hasn’t got a clue about the effect he has on women.

One of these men will make her feel so good.  So strong.  Until he makes her feel so bad.  So weak.  Leaving her empty.  While another will feed her kiss after kiss, so she can eat him up.  He’ll be the craving she never knew she had.

But nothing in her life will be right until she can learn to let go.  Until she can give into what her life is trying to tell her.  And if she can’t–well, then…truer words have never been said:  Damn, Girl. That Sucks.
Note from Mary Kate, the author:  This book is intended for adult readers.  It contains mature sexual content and occasional strong language.

Happy reading always,
Mary Kate the Author:

Mary Kate Kopec creates steamy character driven stories of hopeful love. She thinks love and life are worth fighting for and that at times both are filled with hard bits and messy emotions. She likes a good mystery, lots of action, and a heavy dollop of humor to lighten the mood. She writes what she loves and wishes you great enjoyment in everything you read.
