I woke up to a pillow covering my face. It was dark.
The bed shifted. I pushed the pillow away but it covered my head again. A weight pushed it further down.
I moved, sliding to the side. No matter what I did, the pillow pressed against me.
Heart pounding, I slid out of bed.
Sound like the beginning or blurb of a book?
NO. Just how I woke up this morning! My husband who works graveyard shift tossed a pillow down, followed it and fell promptly asleep. No matter what I did I couldn’t move the darn thing. Otherwise my head was covered and I couldn’t breath. I finally got out of bed and went downstairs.
Luckily I had Beck Bear by TS Joyce to read so I didn’t mind too much. (It’s awesome by the way!) But I’d wanted to sleep in this morning. 5:00 am was NOT when I wanted to get up.
Hope you have a less adventurous morning to wake you!
Now, I’m thinking about writing. I’m going to have to erase part of a story. It’s the only way I can see to bring it to the place I need it to me. Here’s hoping! If it works, I’ll be almost done with Finding Faith. FINALLY, lol. I still haven’t found a cover I like so that is another whole issue. Not to mention the blurb. Ick.
So, writing, possibly swimming at the YMCA or to the library for a Pete the Cat party. Only one of these is not child driven, lol. I might stay with the adult option. We’ll see.
