I need to sit down and put down what is swirling in my head. Yay! I was beginning to think I wasn’t going to write anymore. It’s been that kind of year. But getting our old house ready to sell takes precedence.

I broke down and hired a drywaller. He is busting his butt getting the work done. He’s doing a beautiful job at it, too. Once he’s done it is tiling and painting time for me. He’ll be done this coming week Friday.

My son called me last Sunday and told me he’d be moving home either Monday or Tuesday. (It wasn’t a surprise, he’d told me a few weeks ago) I’d call it both as he arrived at 1:23 in the morning. I’ve been spending the week with him. He has been gone for 11 years. I’m due mom time!

He’s recently released from the Marine Corps and looking forward to making his way in civilian life. He didn’t come home alone. He brought with him his partner in crime.

I say that because when I wouldn’t let him on my lap (he’s 83 pounds!) he stole my blanket. Inched it off one paw at a time, the stinker! I couldn’t get him off of it, lol. So I surrendered it to him.

We are heading over to our other house to tear down a shed and get it in the dumpster. As soon as it is filled it can go away. The sooner the better. I want to wind up getting it ready and get it on the market.

Until then, I’ll be busy with a trowel, hammer or saw in my hand rather than a computer.

I won’t be posting next weekend June 5 & 6. I’ll be in Tennessee attending a wedding for one of my oldest friends. The computer won’t be going with!
