From Me to You #apeekatmylife

It’s been cold here. Below zero most of the week. Last Saturday afternoon, I went snowshoeing. I must have been crazy, lol. Snow was still coming down. We had a bit still this week on Thursday night. Only an inch, thank goodness. I’ve done a lot of snow blowing in the last week and a half. Thank goodness we have those machines. If I was shoveling I would still be out there!

I’m waiting on the info from my last two beta readers. I’m still doing my updates, too. I got sidetracked by a new to me series, lol. The Golem Guerilla MC series by Mirrah McGee. I read all of them. Then I caught up on Ruby Dixon’s Risdaverse series. I know I need to catch up on the Ice Planet, but I need to finish my next round on Waking Tamara, lol. I’ll have to make Ice Planet my reward.

It would be easier if I don’t have to remove snow this week. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Even if Tuesday doesn’t look promising.

Plus, I’ve started a new hobby. I’m loving diamond painting. Pretty sparkles everywhere! I’m making bookmarks to give out with any preorders for my upcoming book signings. There are eight patterns and I’ll give bookmarks to the first twenty four orders. They are so sparkly! What you can’t see is all the pretty sparkles on the floor, lol.

I had my son’s pup this week, too. His heater went on the fritz in below zero weather. Brrr. I ran over to his house and kept Pepper for two days (one night) while he was at work and the heater was repaired. It got fixed and he picked my sweetie up after he got off of work. The price of owning a home. Poor baby was shivering by the time I got there. He was happy to jump in my warm car and go to Grandma’s house.

Here the eighty pound pup was sitting in my lap on my recliner with me. Of course he thinks he’s a lap dog! He spent part of both days sleeping in my lap. It was a tight fit for both of us, but he sure was warm.

I popped Pepper’s boots on his feet and he grabbed his Santa turkey to play with. He was too impatient to let me put his coat on him. He kept stepping on it, pulling it off. I gave up. We didn’t stay out too long, just long enough to look for squirrels, do his business and do his rounds. Then he cuddled with me to warm up once we went inside.

So, I didn’t accomplish much on my book. But I’ll get back to Waking Tamara shortly. I’ll do some this afternoon from my next round. I should be done by the time I receive my final beta reader critiques. I know both of them had the same snow storm I did and it delayed things.

Eh, life happens. I’ll see what this week brings. Hopefully it’s warmer, but not too warm because I’m taking an ice fishing class with our girl scout troop on Friday. The ice needs to stay frozen. Plus, I’d like to get in some more snowshoeing.

Have a great weekend and don’t forget to check out all the upcoming books I have for you this week.
