Stealing Hope

The apocalypse has come and gone.
Those who survived learned to adapt.
Dragons awaken to once again reign over the skies.

Hope cried out, moaning, “just change me with pleasure?”

Hope is restless and unfulfilled until she meets Ari, the man of her fantasies. The sensual tension between them heightens with every touch. When their passion explodes, Hope gets pulled into the dragon’s mating ritual…and into a world of erotic sensation she never dreamed existed but now cannot live without. The dragon binds his mate to him with a ritual that shows Hope her true nature in this humorous erotic romance.

Read Stealing Hope before book #2, Finding Faith releases!

Finding Faith is coming mid April 2019!

I’ve purchased the cover and it will be finished in March. I’ve an editor lined up for the end of February. It forces my butt to get moving and finishing it for sure! I’ve a signing in Myrtle Beach SC where I plan on having the first paper back copies available for purchase.

Authors Invade the Beach, Myrtle Beach SC on May 4th!

Once Finding Faith is in edits, I plan on finishing a novella, China Fleet Club that I’ve been playing around with for the past few years. I’ll see what happens after that! It all depends on where my muse takes me.

I’ll be heading around the Midwest this year after Myrtle Beach. Deadwood SD, Omaha NE, Minneapolis MN, Peoria IL, hopefully IA (I’m on the wait list) and Lexington KY. A few more, but I don’t have my planner handy. Hopefully I’ll meet some of you during my travels.

From Me to You ~ A Dragon’s Fated Heart series

So, after Rise of the Dragons and after Stealing Hope, the dragon saga continues in Finding Faith.

I’m nearing the end, hoping to have it completed before I go back to work next week. Past a couple of beta readers, then off to an editor.

While it is in front of them, I’ll be searching for a cover. Writing the blurb. You know, the hard part!

Faith has taken a couple of journeys to reach the final product, from being a total brat that I couldn’t stand, lol, to a feisty and no holds barred young lady on a mission. I’ve taken so long to finish it because I’ve written it three times!

Finding Faith, which is totally not a religious book by any means will probably end up in Amazon’s religious section, lol. Two of my other books have landed there. I’m sure it is because of their titles. Sorry Amazon! Not sorry.

Here’s a sneak peak of a bit of the beginning of Finding Faith:

Crag leaned over and snagged a little piece of pink cloth from the floor. Clenching his fist, he brought it to his nose. The scent assaulted his nostrils. He breathed deep, the spiciness pervading his lungs. It curled inside of him, clenching his gut. He snapped his eyes open. Crag breathed the scent in again, savoring it. His dick twitched. Lowering his hand, he opened it and gazed down at the delicate panties. The scent assured him they belonged to his mate.

He turned at the gasp behind him. Hope, his brother’s mate looked at him in disgust.

“Is that necessary?”

His lips twitched. “Her scent is strongest in what she wore closest to her body.” He raised his brow, daring her to argue with him.

“Hmpf.” Hope shook her head and gestured for him to leave the room. “Just find my sister.”

Crag shoved the lacy panties in his pocket. He didn’t need them, but he wanted them. Pleased with having something of his mate’s, he quirked a grin at Hope. Patting Hope on the head he turned and left. The growl from her was just a bit of icing on the cake. Crag shook his head as he passed Hope’s grandmother. The twitch of his lips the only sign of his amusement.

Hope you enjoyed!

From Me to You!

I’m getting ready to go out the door for a Brat Fry. It’s a fundraiser for my AMVETS today. Only 3 this summer! I’ll be working until noon and then heading into work to work on my rural adjustments. Ah, the life of a Postmaster, lol!

Well, I did NOT make my goal of 5000 words last weekend with the girls gone. I *hanging head* started watching The 100 and got addicted! Nothing like a post apocalyptic show to hook me, lol. l haven’t even been reading much.

Which is not all my fault! If you follow me on Facebook, you know my paperwhite is dying. The battery is not holding a charge. So please, I need a new one so buy my books! LOL. Everything seems to go back to Amazon!

My two newest books:

Willow’s Cry

When you’ve pissed off Mother Nature, anything can happen…

Blurb:

Alex is just a regular guy… who can hear the wind speak and the earth talk, not a bad thing for a Park Ranger if a bit unusual. His life is everything he desires. Until Mother Nature expresses her displeasure at his family’s threat to sell the land they had been charged to protect. Alex is left to try to stop the sale, finding a damsel in distress along the way who wraps herself around his heart.

Happy living in her tree, observing the world without joining in, Willow has yearned for Alex for years. Too shy to emerge, the little nymph is suddenly catapulted into Alex’s arms, her tree destroyed during a massive storm.

Mother Nature has a plan and she’ll do everything she can to force Alex’s family to continue their roles as guardians, even if it means sacrificing one she protects.

And

A Dragon’s Treasure

A dragon’s most desired treasure is his mate, but what if she didn’t want to be?

Blurb:

Kai has been hunting for his mate for a very long time. Drawn to a singular place on earth, filled with treasures, he still seeks the greatest treasure of them all. His mate.

Fleeing danger, Connie runs into the arms of destiny, but she has plans already, and a Dragon mate is not on the agenda.

Kai has waited centuries for Connie, and he will claim his mate. Patience may not be a Dragon’s virtue, but he always gets his treasure.

A dragon’s most desired treasure is his mate, but what if she didn’t want to be?

Sparks fly in this humorous erotic tale of mating and mayhem.

I’m obsessing again! From Me to You

Many of you know, I obsess over dragons. I’m working on Finding Faith right now. My daughter and granddaughter are on vacation in California, so I have the house to myself. And my husband, lol. But, he works graveyard and goes in early a lot. A LOT.

So, with Dragon Naturally I get a heck of a lot more done than I do typing. So, my goal is to get at least 5000 or more words done by the time they get back. We’ll see how that goes! The girls left Thursday, God awful early. So Thursday I did a bike ride and relaxed after work. Okay, I’m not going to lie… I thought the bike ride was going to kill me. I decided to add some hills to our normal ride. NOT a good idea. But I made it, home and in one piece.

It was bad enough I had to battle a huge spider just to get out of the house, then I found one trying to go for a ride with me. Where ever he landed, it wasn’t on me!

(If there are any spider shifter books out there, I don’t want to know. That man would have been dead in minutes at my house, lol. No one would ever know he existed!)

My writing today will be a little delayed. I’m handing out White Clovers for AMVETS today from 10-noon. Then I’m heading to Deforest for a DRAGON FESTIVAL. Awesome! I might find more dragons for my collection and maybe some inspiration! Possibly I’ll find some dragon essentials to hoard for a giveaway when Finding Faith comes out later this year.

So, while I’m writing the second in the series, catch the prequel:

Rise of the Dragons

The apocalypse has come.

Dragons awaken to once again reign over the skies.
Dax and Jasima explore and try to save what they can of mankind.

Their children’s future depends on it.

This is the prequel for a Dragon’s Fated Heart series.

and then Book one of A Dragon’s Fated Mate series:

Stealing Hope

The apocalypse has come and gone.
Those who survived learned to adapt.
Dragons awaken to once again reign over the skies.

Upon eruption of a volcano, Ari awakens to a changed world, and a knowing that his dragon’s mate is near. He saves her twice—once as a dragon, and again as a man—and wins her confidence.

From Me to You ~ What do you do in a reading slump?

OMG, do you ever get sick of everything you have on your kindle? That happened to me this week! I love to read. Even more than I love to write. I have done some of that this week but I NEED to read. But nothing appealed to me. I flipped through my whole TBR pile and nothing caught my eye. I even started reading three or four different books but put them aside. Not that I normally wouldn’t read them, but ugh!

So I thought about what I felt like reading.

Nope, no dragons (gasp!) No lions, no tigers, no bears. No sweet, no BDSM. No sci fi – romance or otherwise. No historical. Ugh. Then, I thought, oh! Mountain Man! So I downloaded a couple of Frankie Love books. Oh man, I love me some Mountain Man’s Babies books.

Slump is gone! But since I’ve read all of Frankie Love’s Mountain Man’s Babies books, I need to find some more. I’ll have to see what else she has written, but I sure can’t wait for the next in the series. Poor Jonah is the single man out on the mountain. He has to eventually find his happily ever after.

I’ll keep reading the series until Frankie is tired of writing them!

In other news, I’m adding to Finding Faith. I have a deadline in my head, but I’m not saying! If I do and I miss the deadline I set then everyone will know I missed it. This way the only one I disappoint is myself! It will be out this year. That I guarantee.

The flow is going well when I have a chance to write. I’ve taken over babysitting so my daughter can study. She has to pass her next two tests to stay in the nursing program. That trumps me writing! I want her to get her nursing degree. Once she graduates and has a good job, I’ll be able to relax and get back to finishing more books.

So I’ll do what I can, to keep writing and keep my family moving forward!

Have a good weekend, I’ll be behind my computer, putting more words down.

From me to you ~ Saturday in Madison WI ~ Madtown Author Daze!

Short and sweet!

I’m still working on Finding Faith. She is about to have a rude awakening. She’s seen a dragon but she never imagined they were also men! But, I’m taking a break today to be at a book signing.

So, if you’re near Madison WI come on over and say hi!

No automatic alt text available.

Lots to do in the area besides meeting some awesome authors! All genres of books will be there.

We’ll be in the lobby of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. The Farmer’s Market is just down the street and State Street offers up a mix of funky shopping and a whole range of bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Head on over and make a day of it! Don’t forget to stop and say hi! You’re more than welcome to stop and purchase books, too, lol.

I’ll have my newest release along! Willow’s Cry on sale in paperback for $5.00 for an autographed copy!

Can’t make it today? I’ll be in Minnesota next month! Illinois in July. August in Iowa and back in Wisconsin for September and November!

From Me to You ~ To write or to READ?

Okay, I woke up at 400 am, read a bit and then started laundry. By 600 am, I was on my second load of laundry, showered, dressed, ate and sat down to write.

So, one paragraph later I keep thinking about the book I had finished. There were at least two more in the series that I needed to get. THEN when stalking the author’s facebook page, I found out one of my favorite characters in the book had a story. Not just one but three!

These really are NOT standalones. You have to read one and then the other. So I have two more to get through to read the three, lol. So five books. I could do it, I have no plans this weekend. Other than writing my OWN book!

If you are wondering about the addicting series, it is the King series by TM Frazier. Dark romance, which is a bit of an addiction for me! I couldn’t help but read it.

So, read or write, read or write?

THAT’S my dilemma.

I want to do both. I think, I can read and when I’m done I’ll write. Sounds good, right? But what if I’m in a book coma? C’mon, you know what I mean! I’m so deep in that book world I don’t want to come out. It happens. That shit is real!

I could write, set a goal, but I keep wanting to crack open Lawless and read Bear’s story. Gah!

I think I’ll head out of the house (because Paw Patrol is blaring!) Go to the coffee shop and write. Meet a goal, any goal! Have a nice tasty cup of Enchantment (latte with white chocolate and creme de menthe) and write. Leave my kindle at home, lol.

This could work-if there is nothing going on. No vendor sales, no farmer’s market, no meetings or singers. That is usually just Saturday mornings! This is a very busy coffee shop! If it is too busy, I could try the new shop in town. But it doesn’t look as comfortable. I suppose I won’t know unless I try.

And really, I left poor Crag hungry and chasing after his mate once again.

His stomach growled. Pretty soon he was going to have to find something to eat. Checking to make sure he still followed Faith’s enticing aroma, Crag decided that food was in order. She’d have to stop for the night. Once he’d eaten, he would just keep going until he found her.

Backtracking, Crag found a spot where he could shift and fly out. Branches dragged at his wings, catching at his legs as he burst from the sky. Glancing down, he looked, trying to see Faith. Shaking his head he flew away. He didn’t want her to see him, to be afraid of him.

Logically he knew that he would eventually have to tell her. But Faith seemed a little more intense than her sister. Somehow, Crag was pretty sure that if he changed Faith without telling her, he would regret it the rest of his life.

Decisions, decisions. I want coffee, so I guess I’ll go write for a bit!
