Tamara’s Review

Love and Death in the Big Easy is the second book in the Shifter Tales series, but could easily be read as a stand alone novel. That being said, I will say that as in Top Dog, one has to suspend their sense of disbelief in order to truly enjoy these stories.
Spoiler alert! In Top Dog we discovered Drake was shifter who turned into a Yorkie Terrier. We thought Kady was human… but, it turns out she’s not, she turns into a kitty cat. (Yes, I know a cat and dog are married, so ironic!) But, if that isn’t enough, in Love and Death in the Big Easy, we also come across a new creature, a multi, who can change into anything it chooses, from a cockroach to a T-rex. Unfortunately, there is a price for this incredible ability, insanity and a lust for blood and death.
Twenty-five years have passed since Drake and Kady wed. Shifters have “come out” the FBI is pulling their contract and DHS (Department of Homeland Security) has them in their sights.
Be aware the authors like to use three dollar words as my momma called them, so you might want to keep your dictionary app handy.
A little bit of voodoo magic, a serial killer on loose, estranged family, lost love, and heartbreak abound in Love and Death in the Big Easy. A suspenseful tale that will bring laughter and tears.
