Review- Scarlet- Celia Kyle

scarlet

Thirty and single? Well, getcha ass to the Gathering!

As if hitting thirty wasn’t enough, unmated Scarlet Wickham is summoned to this year’s Gathering. As a woman Marked to be the mate of an Alpha pair, she’s not going to find happiness anywhere other than in the arms of two Alpha werewolves. So, off she goes with her sisters in tow. ‘Cause yeah, she’s one of the plump Wickham triplets, and they’re all being carted off to werewolf speed dating.

Keller and Madden, Ruling Alpha pair, can’t believe their luck. They’ve found their mate, and she’s more than they could have ever hoped for. She’s feisty with spirit to spare, and lush curves that they want to trace with their tongues. They can’t wait to solidify their bond and get to know the beautiful woman who is to rule at their side. But first, there’s the minor inconvenience of a challenge to the death…

Tamara’s Review
Scarlet is the first book in a trilogy and I can’t wait to read the rest! Hot werewolf alphas and BB heroines. What more could a girl ask for? How about a little death match to spice things up?
Scarlet was hesitant to go to the gathering. Hell she tried to burn the invitation. Damn Wardens. On the surface she tries to make us believe she doesn’t want her life interrupted, but underneath she’s just plain old scared. Her entire life is going to change and it terrifies her. She has always been the strong sister. The calm, cool and collected one, but she has self-image issues and like most us, she longs to be loved. She worries that a “mating bond” won’t give her the love she desires.
Keller and Madden are the strongest of the strong. The Ruling Alphas, but they are incomplete without their mate. One look at Scarlet has their wolves growling to be let loose, but when the human men actually get to know the feisty female, they realize she is their perfect match in every way.
Scarlet was short, but didn’t leave me feeling the story was rushed. I felt I got to know the characters and like them. I won’t say I didn’t want more, but to me that’s the hallmark of a good story.
A truly enjoyable quick hot read.
