#Review ~ Night Storm ~ Taracey Devlyn

Night Storm

by Tracey Devlyn

A promising young apothecary picks up the pieces of her life, only to collide with the ruthless thief-taker who once shattered her dreams and her heart.

When the love of his life chose an apprenticeship in Scotland over his marriage proposal, thief-taker Cameron Adair buried himself in his work—building an unmatched network of underworld spies. Forged by his reputation as a ruthless, greed-driven businessman, he has amassed a fortune. But he has one vulnerable spot in his armor—a brilliant, green-eyed apothecary, who continues to haunt his heart. When a murder investigation brings him back into contact with Charlotte Fielding, Cameron sets aside the past to find a killer and to distract a headstrong apothecary, clue by clue, kiss by kiss.

NIGHT STORM is the first book in the Bones & Gemstones series.

Allyson’s Review:

Tracey Devlyn is one of my favorite historical romance authors. Each book she writes grabs your attention and makes it extremely hard to put down, Night Storm was no exception.
This was Cameron and Charlotte’s Story. I fell in love with Cameron he was most definitely a strong, hard-headed Alpha male but could also be kind, thoughtful, protective, and supportive as well as sexy, and charming. He was also definitely not a man to mess with with.
Charlotte beat all odds for normal standards for women. Once her mother died she took over her parents apothecary shop. She completely turned the business into a profitable business and made a name for herself. She was determined, caring, strong and independent.
Charlotte and Cameron had a romantic past that neither one never quite moved on from. Once their paths cross again the sparks fly but both have to quit being stubborn and hard-headed to accomplish anything including finding a killer.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time you are reading. It’s a wonderful read I highly recommend.
