Very little writing has happened this week! I’ve been sanding my upstairs floors, staining and sealing them. My whole house stinks! Here’s a before, during and after shot.

I didn’t realize there was such a difference until I looked at the pictures, lol. I’m not totally happy with the job I did. Mainly because I had a hard time getting the edges done. Some of them are darker than I’d like. Overall it is a much needed improvement!

I have worked on my recipe book for a bit. I also downloaded a new writing program. It’s called Papyrus Author. I haven’t used it yet, so have no comments on it. But I thought I’d check it out. I found a new recipe my daughter likes, so I’ll try it and see what I can do to change it up. A lot of the recipes don’t use any spices! Not even salt and pepper. Yuk! I love my spices!

My daughter thinks I have too many! What do you think? That’s an 18″ cabinet.

I’m constantly using them, so they are fairly fresh. I also like to make my own spice mixes. I’ve a cajun one I love and I’ve made Italian Seasoning when I ran out of my premade one. I like mine better! So I’ll do my own from now on.
