Beverly and Tamara: Welcome to SSLY. Thanks so much for joining us today. So first why don’t you tell us a little about yourself.
Thanks for having me!
I have one book out, Stolen Hearts and two more books to be released in August, Something To Treasure and Begin Again.
Tamara: What do you HAVE to have when you are writing?
Some people need coffee I just need 7up and a bite of dark chocolate.
Beverly: When did you start to write?
About a year and a half ago.
Tamara: What do you think are the qualities that make up a “hero”?
Loyal, Protective, Kind and Handsome.
Beverly: Can you describe your favorite character? And which of your books is he/she in? How do you come up with your characters?
Simon Fisher. He’s mysterious, sexy and has bad-ass skills. He is in Stolen Hearts and Something To Treasure. I close my eyes and try to get a picture in my head. Then I search the internet for pictures close to what I saw in my mind.
Tamara: What are the hardest scenes for you to write? Suspense? Sex? Dialogue? And why?
Sex. In the back of my mind, I’m thinking…my family could be reading this.
Beverly: What writer, if any, influenced how you write?
Janet Evanovich
Tamara: Who would you choose as your “book boyfriend”? From what book? Author?
Ranger from Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum Series.
Beverly: What is the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done? Or would like to? What? We are all about the love!
Have sex in the kitchen. Yeah, I’m not that wild, lol.
Tamara: What are your favorite types of heroines? Do you like the damsel in distress who needs saving or the kick-ass variety? Why?
I like a mixture. I like her to start out as a damsel then prove to everyone including her that she can take care of herself.
Beverly: What was your worst date ever?
Hmm. That might be the time my date took me to a movie and then on the way home the song Never Gonna Get It by En Vogue played which he sang and then dropped me off without a kiss.
Tamara: If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? (you have food, water, shelter, all the necessities, so nothing mundane)
If we aren’t counting people (I’d have my family for sure) then my ipod, computer and books.
Beverly: What is your “guilty pleasure”?
Fudge
Tamara: What dream or goal have you yet to realize?
To have print books inside of Barnes & Noble.
Beverly: What was your most embarrassing moment?
When I tripped and fell over a curb at the grocery store taking the cart full of groceries with me.
Tamara: Ow! If you were a color what would you be and why?
Purple, because it is my favorite and can feel rich and luxurious and also fun and playful.
Beverly: Who has influenced how you perceive love? Why?
My husband. He taught me the true meaning of love.
Tamara and Beverly: Okay. We are SSLY so we have to ask. Who loves you?
My family, my friends and I hope someday my fans.
Now for some quick fun questions:
Boxers or briefs? Briefs unless commando is an option.
Beverly: hehe that’s always an option!
Coffee or Tea? Neither to drink, but I love the smell of coffee.
Tall, dark and handsome or Blond and buff? Tall, dark and handsome.
Hairy chest or smooth? Smooth
Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate
Kinky or Sweet? Sweet
Fast or slow? Both!
Public or private? Private
Top or bottom? Both!
BIO: I’m a hopeless romantic writer, inspired by art, love and hope. I was lucky to have the support of my family and friends in my journey to publication. I’ve always been a creative person, but until I started writing, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Once my first novel was complete, it felt natural to continue writing. I just might be the only writer out there that doesn’t drink caffeine. Dark chocolate and warm cookies are my weaknesses. I love to read books that make me laugh out loud or make me want to live in the place they are set in.
