Livy Kowalski has no time for idiots. When you shapeshift into a honey badger, getting through life’s irritants is a finely honed skill. Until she gets stuck housing her nutso cousin and dealing with her dad’s untimely and unexplained demise.
That’s where Vic Barinov comes in—or his house does. Vic can’t step outside without coming back to find Livy devouring his honey stash and getting the TV remote sticky. It gets his animal instincts all riled up. But he’ll have to woo her at high speed: all hell is breaking loose, and Livy is leading the charge
Tamara’s Review
Shelly Laurenston is one of my autobuy authors, She never disappoints. I love the Pride and Pack series and their quirky combinations of shifters and hybrids. Up until now I’d have to say that Bo and Blayne were my favorite couple, but Livvy and Vic are a close second, if not a tie.
The Honey Bagers are a hoot. A lawless, moral-less group of shifters that live by their own rules, outside the bounds of human law and most other shifters too. I don’t want to give spoilers, but let’s just say I loved how these shifters took care of business.
Vic was a typical Shelly hero, which means there was nothing typical about him, except he was big. He is quiet, calm, controlled and a little on the shy side. I loved how he “got” Livvy and just accepted her quirks and craziness. He just shrugs his shoulders and moves on.Shen, his right hand panda is a wonderful foil and sidekick. I could just see him munching his bamboo and playing playing with his computers.
And then there’s Livvy “I love you and it’s all your fault!” When she’s not burrowing into his house to hide in his kitchen cabinets and eat his honey, she’s tormenting him by disappearing or getting hurt.
Bite Me has a great combination of action, adventure, humor, and hot hot hybrid loving! (oh that prehensile tail!) Another paranormal knockout from Shelly Laurenston.
