I loved Haunted by Her Dragon. I was sent Her Dragon to Slay (Dragon Guard #1) and Her Dragon’s Fire (Dragon Guard #2) series to properly review Haunted by Her Dragon (Dragon Guards #3). Not really necessary as they are stand alone, but they are much better read together. And read I did! All the way through in a couple of days for all of them.
Let me just say this. I LOVE dragons. I love how they are presented in Haunted by Her Dragon. The believable way that the Dragon Guards happened. (Okay, believable if you totally immerse yourself in this series as I did) Julia made this world seem believable, seamlessly weaving the magical with the mundane. You really need to read them all. Not because the books aren’t complete in an of themselves but because they are so damn good. Steamy sex (hehe) with unbelievably sexy men. Beautiful and strong dragons, wonderful strong heroines.
I loved Sam and Lance. They met when Lance saved her from the blast that had caused a building to cave in when she had been kidnapped. Their interactions complemented each other. Made for each other by the Universe. Sigh. Totally romantic. The characters are well rounded and enjoyable. I thoroughly loved reading Haunted by her Dragon and am eagerly waiting for Royce’s story! Humorous and tension building, hot and sweet, Haunted by her Dragon is a must read for dragon lovers and those that enjoy paranormal.
