From Me to You

Well, I’m busy this weekend! Sanding our upstairs floors and staining and putting polyurethane on them. In a few hours we’ll be going to get an outside dog kennel.

Our son and wife are coming up for a wedding and we need a place for the dogs. They are huge and don’t know us well, so I don’t want to get gnawed on when I get up in the middle of the night. I know! But one of them already got teeth around my thigh before and it scared the crap out of me. He was a puppy, just nipping because he was excited, but pitty’s have a huge jaw. Not to mention at 70 pounds each it hurts when they walk on my feet!

Since they haven’t been taught manners, it’s in the kennel they go! We’re putting it up so they have the whole run of the shed also. Plenty of room. I don’t want my new couch torn up either, lol. I know, I’m a bad doggy grandma! I suppose they will probably sneak them up, but maybe not. We’ll see.

I’m still working on the fourth book in A Dragon’s Fated Heart series. I thought I was calling it Reviving Mara, but I just couldn’t get it to stick in my head. The story is flowing again and I’ve changed the title to Teasing Tamara. It fits the way the story is changing. Good thing I didn’t have the cover made yet!

I have to contact Amazon. Saving Grace still isn’t in print and I have to find out why. I have an order to fulfill!

I’m also working on my cookbook. Once I have the recipes down and matching how I made them, I have to see if I want to make all the nutritional information on them, or if I even can. I’ll see but that will be the hard part! The recipes are yummy so far. I’ve taken pictures of them once they are made so each recipe has an accompanying picture. I’m having fun with it regardless.

Yesterday I went fishing with my parents and the boat died! The battery wouldn’t keep a charge. We finally drifted close to someone’s pier and tied off. Lucky he was home and put the battery on a charger. Thanks Mike! He said he was passing it forward. He’d done the same thing before. LOL. The life of a boater!

We caught six catfish in 5 hours, lol. But we had a good day. Relaxing, even the hour we were stuck out on the lake. I figure between the cost of our fishing licenses, gas and the cost of a new battery for the boat, the fish came in at a measly $43.00 a fish, lol. Oh well, we’ll just have to keep going out! I’m heading out for the kennel.
