You may have noticed that up until now we have not done any reviews on this site. I was formerly reviewing for another site and conflict of interest prevented me from posting reviews here. We WILL NOT be accepting review requests, we just don’t have the time. But from time to time, when a book is so wonderful that we just have to share the LOVE (you know we are all about the love) We will give you our (my) humble opinion.

I am lucky enough to call Stephanie Rowe my friend. So you can take my opinion as biased if you want to, but she would be the first to tell you I can be a harsh critic. I beta read for Stephanie, so I get to read her stories before they are published, even before the finished version is in place. Stephanie writes several series and I like them all. But I have to say the Order of the Blade series is my absolute favorite.

Those of you who know me, know that I love a tortured hero and the warriors of the Order of the Blade are tortured in spades. Calydon’s face a horrible destiny. When they meet their sheva, their soul mate, and complete the stages of bonding, destiny decrees that they will go “rogue” and kill everything that is important to them. Because of this destiny the Order of the Blade was formed. Elite warriors who seek out and kill rogue Calydons. Because these warriors are so important to the world, they are the one exception to the rule, when an Order member meets his sheva, it is she who is killed.

So these men go through their very long lives with the fate of humanity on their shoulders. Dealing with the grief of killing their brethren, and the fear of meeting their sheva and causing the death of an innocent.

But times are changing. Five warriors have overcome their destiny and bonded without going rogue. Ian Fitzgerald has met his sheva… and watched her die, twice now. Can he survive loosing her again and keep his sanity? Can he beat destiny and find everlasting love?

As if fate hasn’t heaped enough on Ian’s shoulders, his mate is an angel. Forbidden to love, bound by archaic rules and in a desperate battle to save her own soul and find her missing sister before it is too late.

Every time I read one of the Order of the Blade series I am stricken with horrible envy. How Stephanie manages to weave all the complex plot lines together I will never understand. This world is original, interesting and always keeps you guessing. Just when you think there is no way out, the characters find one, and just when you sigh in relief, another shoe falls and you scream!

Pulse pounding suspense, hot eroticism, destiny, magic and … Love. This series is a Must Read for all lovers of Paranormal romance.
