This is the first book I have read by Leah Michaels, but it definitely won’t be the last! I absolutely fell in love with the characters in the Accidental Submissive. The men of the Mansion are hot, sweet and sexy as hell. This better be the first book in a series, because I need Berick, James, and Jacob to each have a story. And Leah, what’s with the tiny teaser about a secret past for Steven’s brother Nathan? I need the rest of that story too! So there ends my fan girl rant, let me move on to this story.
The Accidental Submissive is Ms Karen McGuven, a would be jeweler designer form a small North Carolina town. Karen, or Kitten as her Sir dubs her is a delight. A woman who embraces her love of life. As Sir puts it “You are like someone who walks and yet is captivated by the sky. Because of that it is our job to watch the earth around you and make sure you don’t trip.” Karen’s innocent excitement with every new person, place, thing or emotion she uncovers is the world, made her highly likeable and sweetly sensuous.
Steven was a typical example of the perfect Dom. Handsome, rich, worldly and perhaps a bit jaded. He rediscovers the important things in life through his relationship with Karen, and finds out what he’s been missing. I loved his caring nature and his camaraderie with his friends and staff.
The Accidental Submissive was a wonderful blend of humor and heart, with just a dash of mystery and danger thrown in. A steamy read that will leave you with a smile on your face and some very wet panties!
