In the fall of 2010, thirty-five year old Samantha Dennison sending her only child off to college and is generally feeling F-R-U-M-P-Y. Slate is the ultimate ‘alpha’ male; however there is a problem: he simply wants it to be about exclusive sex; Sammie wants and needs more from Slate. Sammie is certain that she has embarked on a dangerous, cougar-type relationship with the twenty-something biker and ‘prospect’ member of the notorious Outlaw Motorcycle Club. She soon finds out that she is totally out of her league with Slate and the dangerous people he associates with in Indianapolis during the summer of 2012. Something big is brewing in Indy; it ain’t about race cars either.

Samantha Dennison’s life has revolved around her daughter and now that she is off to college. Samantha just has her husband. She starts to realize that she has nothing in common with her husband. He just married her because she ended up pregnant and becasue her dad had money and was well known in the town. She listens to her daughter and her friend and finally does something for herself.

Samantha finds a part-time job woking as a pole dancer at the gentlemen’s club named Jewel. All the women have jewel names. Samantha is given the name of Diamond. Everything is great until the bikers come in and she meets this man named Slate. You know that Slate is hiding something but you just don’t know what. I really feel in love with this man. At times he did come across as having a little too much ego.

I just saw the cover of this book and read the blurb. I knew it was the kind of book that I would enjoy. I never knew what kind of adventure that I would be taken on. Sammie is a woman that is easy to understand and love. I understand why she did what she did. I just don’t understand why she stayed with her husband as long as she did. I knew that Slate was the man for her even though he acted so big and bad.

This is a book that makes me want to read more and see what happens next. Sammie has a great daughter that acts nothing like her dad and I really want to read the next book in this series.
