He fights against his desire for her as he contends with her two new beaus, his own new girlfriend, her hostile family and Amelia, his four-year-old daughter.
When his enemy makes another attempt on Abbey’s life, will Sloan be able to save her – or is this a war he just can’t win?
Crystal’s Review:
I loved the other two books in this series. I thought that there would be another one but not one like this one. I am in shock and can’t believe what happened in this book. I never thought Sloane would do what he did.
Abby completely lost it when Sloane served her with divorce papers. He never told her why he was leaving he just left her while she was in the hospital. This is a couple that I never seen being apart and to think that he leaves both Abby and his daughter for three years. He thought he was keeping them safe but when he thinks one of his friends is trying to get with Abby he decides that it is time that he steps in and shows everyone who belongs to who.
With each and every book we get to see this couple go through everything to be together. I was so hoping that nothing else would go wrong. I knew that there would probably be another book and it would be about someone else. K believe the reason that I love this series is that it is something that could really happen and Abby and Sloane have been through things that normal people would go through. I wanted so bad to grab a hold of Sloane and beat some sense into his brain. What could it be that would make him give up the two main women in his life and the guy that he thought of as a father. I knew that it had to be something bad and I couldn’t put the book down until I had read every single page and solved the mystery.
The way that this book ended makes me think there will be another book. I don’t know if I can stand the suspense or not. This author sure knows how to bring out the best in her books and her characters. Makes me wonder if they are real. I feel like they are real people to me. Just a family that I could sit down with and have a conversation and just get caught into the stories of their lives. This book really kept me guessing and wondering what would happen next. I wanted to know if their love had survived enough that they could make it work or if the bridges had been burned with no way of mending them back together.
If you love stories that gives a chance to really know the characters and will take you on a grand adventure and will leave you on the edge of your seat. This is the series for you. I would recommend reading them in order or you will be missing out on some great stories. You have to read them all to see what this couple has been through.
