Lucky Leprechaun Giveaway Hop

I can’t resist joining in a St. Patrick’s Day blog hop! I guess that’s the Irish in me. I even have proof, lol. My DNA results came back. So I’m some Irish! (Not to mention a whole lot of others, lol)

I’m curious if anyone else has had it done. Let me know! Did you find any surprises? I had none. NONE. I’m as white as white on rice. A minuscule bit of Asian (less than 1%) and Native American (again less than 1%). More Scandinavian than expected. The Western Europe, not a surprise at all!

I know, not the normal questions for a romance book blog, lol. But it ties in with a story I’ve been slowly researching. It’ll be a few years before I finish it as I’m only researching at the moment. The movement of my ancestors does breath a little more life into it though!

So for my blog treat I’m giving away a $5.00 gift card to your choice of Amazon, Kobo, B&N or Apple.

Just click the rafflecopter link for your options! Visit me on Facebook, follow me on twitter, share a message on twitter and/or leave a blog comment telling me if you’ve done a DNA test and if the results were what you expected (make sure you click that option after leaving a comment!)

  1. I’ve never done a DNA test but as soon as my taxes come back I’m ordering a kit for my husband and myself.

  2. I never had one done before but maybe one day. I just think I probably already know. Unless it was able to tell me something about health I don’t know if I care enough to pay.

  3. I have not. I don’t fully know all my heritage since my grandmother was adopted, so there may be a surprise or two.

  4. I haven’t done one yet 🙂 I’m much more interested in my genome! Can’t wait until there is an affordable test for that 🙂

  5. I have never done a DNA test, but my sister had our ancestry done at ansetry.com and found we were from Ireland and Scotland on my mother’s side, they traced her lineage back to the 1400s. It was pretty interesting.

  6. I haven’t done a DNA test, but really want to. I would love to see what all my heritage consists of.

  7. I have not. My ex-husband did, and so did my grandma. We just sent my oldest child’s also. Everyone is surprised when they see the results. It also explains things in a way that is hard for ppl to understand. I wish it would translate it to something simple.
