Good Morning!

I’m a bit late in starting today. I woke up dreaming about the book I’m working on. If you’ve followed my blog since the beginning, you’ve seen bits and pieces over the years. But, I’m revamping it again, lol. China Fleet Club will see the light of day this year. Unfortunately, I appear to have deleted the cover I bought! I’ll have to go over my paypal account and see if I can find the purchase so I know who I paid. Yikes!

I have to be more organized. But, I can always get another cover. I can’t always find the inspiration I do when I actually start dreaming about the works taking life in my imagination. The first outline I wrote a long time (years, yes) ago. I never quite finished it. Oh, I know how it ends, just never put pen to paper so to speak. Now, I’m changing the POV (point of view) and it is flowing.

Dreaming about it just shows me I’m on the right path.

China Fleet Club is a mix of fiction and things I’ve experienced and seen happen. I’ll leave it to you to guess which. Either way, I’m enjoying dredging up old memories, talking to old shipmates and reliving my youth. Here’s a couple of pictures I’m in. The first is from our cruise book. The second from a bar while I’m on liberty.

I’m out on the town in the Philippines. I’m the one on the left in the cowboy hat. It was an awesome pink color. Loved that hat. You could see me sporting it all over. I was with my buddy Marie and Shore Patrol. We weren’t in trouble, lol. He was a friend and sat down to see how we were doing. From our smiles it was obvious we were doing just fine.
