Maybe this Christmas…?
It has been seven long years since Kara Jameson last saw Jason Greene. Returning home as a wounded war hero, Jason looks a shell of the man she once knew. Yet her heart still skips a beat as if it was yesterday….
Stepping back into civilian life, Jason looks to Kara for help. But there’s too much water under the bridge—not to mention too much lingering attraction.
But it seems that the mountain weather has other ideas, and when Kara and Jason end up snowbound together they are forced to confront the ghosts of Christmas past.
Crystal’s Review:
Kara Jameson finds out that the Lodge that she works has been sold and that everyone will probably lose their jobs and Christmas is still weeks away. She doesn’t know how she is going to support her daughter and herself. That is her main concern until a ghost from her past shows up. Jason Greene was engaged to Kara seven years ago until he found something out about his past and he walked away and joined the army.
These two try their best to ignore the feelings that they have for each other. Seems getting snowed in, in Jason’s cabin seems to be working to bring them closer than ever. Both have secrets that could cost them a new relationship. All they need to do is trust each other and figure out that they can work out anything as long as they do it together.
I didn’t know what I would be reading until I started this book. I just couldn’t put it down. I had to find out what their secrets were. Sometimes being a father isn’t because you share any DNA. It just takes a special man that can love a child as his and do what is best for them. That is what I loved about this book. It made me believe in Christmas miracles again.
