About Maggie:

When Maggie Kaye was in college, she and a friend attempted to write their first romance book. They actually never reached the writing part.  Mostly, they lay in the sun, brainstormed, laughed, and snacked, typical behavior for young college students with short attention spans.

Maggie went on to earn a teaching credential in special education and a career in teaching. Although they never completed that first book, the desire to tell stories remained with her. Eventually, she took out a writing pen or in her case a notebook computer her hero (husband) bought her to pursue her dreams and wrote the end.

Today, Maggie lives in the Southern California with her husband, two children, and two cats that sometimes share the keyboard with her.  She enjoys writing stories with plenty of heart, humor and a bit of steaminess.

1.      I am talkative.

2.      But shy inside.

3.      I like the color red and well purple, navy. Okay, I don’t have a favorite color.

4.      I like sweets a lot, especially chocolate.

5.      I love old movie classics. 

6.      I am a teacher by day, writer by night, late night.

7.      My first romance books were by Katherine E. Woodiwiss. I was really too young for them but I devoured them anyway.

8.      My favorite classic romance book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

9.      I am a Walking Dead fan. And I have hooked my husband who says it is too violent. Yeah, but he’s watching.

10.   Youngest of seven, aunt to eighteen, great aunt to 25. Okay, I am not that old. I did say I was the youngest. And my mother got married as an infant.

11.   I love to watch the Voice, American Idol and Project Runway. Basically, I am a TV junkie.

12.   I am afraid of birds, not outside. But if you have one and let it lose I am running screaming from your house.

13.   I even write with the TV on, as long as it’s not sports. My husband thinks I should write with sports on. Never. I don’t want to do anything with sports on.

14.   Don’t mind seeing sports live.

15.   My husband is a Penguin fan. I am a King’s fan, mostly to annoy him. GO, QUICK, GO!

16.   I think Lady Gaga boyfriend is hot, really hot. I watch Chicago Fire just for him. Have you seen him?

17.   Not that I don’t have many favorites, but the writer that inspired me to write was Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Love her. Told her so. Yup three times in person. I think she has a restraining order against me. Kidding. She loves me. Okay, she tolerates me. But I love her.

18.   I have a loud laugh and a loud sneeze. I am so not a suppresser.

19.   I am kind of accident prone. Oh and I am goofy.

20.   Okay, maybe I am not that shy.
