Review- Faking It- Lydia Michaels

faking itSheilagh McCullough has been pretending to be someone else her entire life. When she takes her rebellious act too far, her overbearing brothers decide it’s time for her to grow up and face her future. After six years of procrastination and parties, Sheilagh is finally going to college.

Dr. Alec Devereux is an ethical man, but when Sheilagh McCullough enrolls in his class, his morals as a professor are put to the test. Brilliant, tenacious, and a contradiction to herself in so many ways, Alec is enchanted by his new student and unable to resist temptation. Persistent and logical, Alec unravels the mysterious woman who has captured his heart only to discover the greatest threat to their future might be her past.

A courageous journey of the soul that confronts one woman’s fears of love and embraces the truth in her heart

Tamara’s Review

I wish I could roam around in Lydia Michaels’ mind for a day. What a talent this woman has. She takes hard issues that some of us face in life and weaves them seamlessly into beautiful romantic tales. As  woman who has dealt with depression for over thirty years, it was wonderful to see a heroine with depression portrayed accurately.

One of the things I love about Lydia’s books is the attention to detail she takes in defining her characters and Faking It is another hit in my opinion. I loved the characters and absolutely couldn’t put it down. I stayed up all night to finish, telling myself, “just one more chapter” until the sun was rising and Sheleigh and Alec found their happily ever after.

Since we are down to only 2 McCollough left without a mate I’m hoping maybe Lydia will keep the series going, I think Wesley could use a lovely lady to loosen him up! hint hint Ms Michaels!

If you like stories with heart, hope, love, family and hot hot loving the McCollough Mountain series is a don’t miss read!
