Stolen Hearts was a touching, funny romance story that had action as well as suspense. Cammie had thought her parents were killed in a plane accident when she was 15. Cammie was left by her aunt at an upscale hotel and apartment complex, the Lipton Hotel with her inheritance but she felt abandoned and lost. Her housekeeper, Nora, became her stand in mother, and met her two close friends Dinah and Miles. After Cammie’ s house was robbed, she received a strange letter from her aunt and kidnapped she finds her parents were jewel thieves and the whole thing was a set-up to keep her safe. Cammie was strong, caring, forgiving, understanding, considerate and kind.
Her rescuer was Simon, whom was charming, sexy, kind, understanding, considerate, supportive, protective, brave and skilled. Simon also happened to be her Father’s close friend and bodyguard. The chemistry between them was sizzling but both had their own issues to deal with, not to mention the stolen ruby that puts everyone in danger.
This was a hot, steamy read that also tugged at your heartstrings. I truly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more by Christy Newton. I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review, All thoughts and opinions are my own.
