What a way to ring in the New Year! Tamara

2014 couldn’t have had a better start for me. I have a new release, we are hosting our first blog hop (and it’s awesome) And my book A Special Kind of Love has been chosen by Satin Sheets Reviews as a Reviewers Favorite book of 2013!

Christmas came early this year. Chase found the gift of his dreams… the girl next door. Will she make his Christmas dreams come true?
Samantha Cross went out in search of a one night stand to celebrate her thirtieth birthday. She found more than she was looking for, when her sexy cowboy turned out to be her new neighbor, and seven years younger than her too.
Chase Ryan was looking for the one. He found her and she disappeared on him into the night. When he shows up at her door with an apple pie, the fun begins.
Samantha may run, but he is Chasing Love.

Samantha had tossed and turned all night. Of all the stupid things she could have done since coming to Juniper Hills, sleeping with her neighbor had to top the list. She stumbled to the kitchen, rubbing her tired eyes, only the smell of coffee wafting from the coffee maker kept her feet moving. Grabbing a mug from the cabinet she poured a cup and brought it to her face, inhaling the enticing scent.
She took a tiny sip and the hot liquid manna soothed her frazzled nerves. The sun was blazing through the front windows and she decided to enjoy her coffee on the front porch. When she opened the door to step outside she was shocked to find a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers laying on her doormat—Queen Ann’s lace, purple thistle, Black-eyed Susans and wild lilies, tied together with a big pink bow.
Curious, Samantha picked up the flowers and found a small white note tucked inside.
Wild flowers for a wild beauty. I hope they brighten your day as much as a smile from you would brighten mine.
Your sexy Cowboy
A smile snuck across her face, but she quickly squashed her joy. Shaking her head no, she had already told Chase this wasn’t happening. She wasn’t going out with him… But, he is a sexy cowboy. Oh man, she was in so much trouble.
She took the flowers inside and searched for a vase to put them in. Where did I put the vases? Oh yeah, in the cabinet above the refrigerator, because she didn’t figure she’d need to reach them very often. With a snicker, she thought, she may have to rethink that decision.
She kept a small stepstool in the kitchen, because kitchen cabinets are not made for short people, and she dragged it over to the fridge to retrieve a vase. Samantha found a beautiful cut glass vase that had belonged to her grandmother. She filled the leaded glass with water and the flowers, and then added an aspirin to keep the flowers fresh. She placed the bouquet in the center of the kitchen table and stepped back to admire them.
The riot of colors and the heavenly smell brightened the room. Samantha grabbed a pen and a pad of paper from the junk drawer and headed back to the front porch to finish her coffee with a lilt in her step that hadn’t been there before.
Now, to make her list. She had at least a hundred things to do before her grand opening in two weeks. The contractor had told her on the phone last night that they would be completely finished with the renovations today. Her deliveries were starting tomorrow, so she would have to be at the shop all week, waiting on trucks and putting up inventory.
A second work room was all set up in the back of Cross’ Christmas Dreams, so that Samantha could work on her ornaments during lulls in business at the shop. It had a huge plate glass window that looked out into the showroom, so that she could see customers come in and the customers could watch her making the ornaments if they were interested. Today she would start transferring half of her supplies over to the new workspace.
Draining the last sip from her cup, she rose from the loveseat and went inside to dress. She stopped at the coffee maker for a quick refill, taking the cup with her into the bedroom. Work clothes were the order of the day. It was bound to be a hot one, so Samantha chose a pair of cut off jean shorts and a bright purple tank top. She slipped on a pair of Crocs and hustled to her workroom.
