What are you looking forward to in 2014?
Tamara
First I’d like to say that 2013 was a wonderful year! I had three books published by Secret Cravings Publishing, Joined their editing team, Beverly and I started the Smile Somebody love You blog. There are several things I look forward to in the New year. Personally, my younger daughter Cat Hoffa will graduate from the University of Tennessee this year. She is an Art/Education major and her Senior show is in February. It will be a wonderful event, with 3 of her fellow art students, food, drink and some amazing art work! Second, My oldest daughter and her family are getting there first home. I am both happy and sad at this turn of events; happy because I remember the thrill of getting my first house, but sad because I will no longer have 24/7 access to my grandsons! LOL
Professionally, I have the third book in the Circle R Ranch series, Fetching Love releasing in May. A military romance, Changing Tides in the works, that I think will be my first full length novel and who knows what else my muse will concoct!
For my portion of the New Years Eve Hop giveaway I have an e-copy of my newest release.
In celebration of her thirtieth birthday, Samantha Cross goes out in search of a one night stand. She finds more than she was looking for. A sexy cowboy who rocks her world. But, when he turns out to be her new neighbor, and seven years younger than her, Samantha is terrified that her reputation and new business will both be ruined. How could she be so stupid?
Chase Ryan was looking for the one. He found her and then she disappeared into the night. When fate brings him to her door, with his mother on his arm and holding an apple pie, the fun begins.
Samantha may run, but he is Chasing Love.
notes from Beverly:
“A fast paced and entertaining novella Chasing Love is well worth the time! Each book of Tamara’s is better than the last!”– Beverly Ovalle – So go read it! It released Christmas Day!
My favorite so far of Tamara’s is A Special Kind of Love. Full of emotions from angst to love, it will draw you in and leave you sighing with happiness at the conclusion. (It’s a romance I’m not giving out anything anyone would be surprised at!)
What are you looking forward to in 2014?
Beverly
Amazing! I am looking forward to getting the year right for the first few months! I swear I’ll still be writing 2013 until April or May. Hopefully not until December!
I am looking forward to my daughter starting school this fall. She took a hiatus after graduating HS but has finally decided what she wants to do so has signed up at the local tech school. Yay!
The most fervent thing I am looking forward to is my son staying safe. He’s a Marine and will be in the Middle East for the whole of 2014. So what I really am looking forward to is 2015 when he’ll be home. He’s safer where he is now than his last deployment, but that part of the world is in constant turmoil and well, just watch the news. He enjoys the Marines and has signed up for a second enlistment. So the main thing I want for 2014 is for it to go by at the speed of light!
I am also looking forward to Las Vegas LOL! I plan on going in July and October. Once to play 😀 and the second time my DH and I are planning on renewing our vows for our 25th wedding anniversary. Okay, so more play!
Professionally. Hmmm. I already have a couple in the works. My Military Romance Saint Nicholas will be out in February from Secret Cravings Publishing. My story Touched by the Sandman will see the light of day, already contracted through Boroughs Publishing Group. So two at a minimum this year to be published.
I am working on a second story for my wood nymphs. Another short entitled Willow’s Cry. I have a line up I plan on getting done! I am working on A Dragon’s Treasure. More hot shape shifters! I also have at least two that have been running through my head that are spinoffs of Saint Nicholas, but I would like to finish what I currently am writing! I am hip deep in a dystopian dragon shifter novel that I started during NaNo.
So let’s see: Saint Nicholas, Touched by the Sandman, Willow’s Cry, A Dragons’ Treasure, Stealing Hope. Hmm. With two contracted a good beginning for 2014.
Note from Tamara: I will also be in Las Vegas in July, we are going to RNC and it is going to be a HELL of a party! I also pray for Nick and all our soldiers to come home safe! Love you guys!
Dragons’ Mate
by Beverly Ovalle
They had been searching for their mate, but when they find her she is traumatized and scared to be around strange men. They must get her to accept them before they reveal their true natures. Will their love be strong enough to break down her barriers? Could she truly be destined to love two dragons?
Today Annie’s dragons will shift and fulfill her every desire, which means a fiery threesome—and true love.
For our blog giveaway, along with Tamara’s, I will be giving away an e-copy of Dragons’ Mate. If the winner has read that, then Lightning Strike. (I only mention that because I’ve already had it happen!)

Tamara and Beverly, thanks so much for doing the work to put this blog-hop together! I love to do these, to both introduce myself to new readers, and to find new favorites of my own!
On a personal note, we think when our kids are young and so physically needy, that that phase of their lives is the hardest. But when they are older and trying to launch themselves as independent adults, in many ways that’s even harder. You provide what support you can, like help with tuition and other bills, a place to live until they can afford their own, etc. But since their lives are no longer under your control, you have to learn to sit back and wait to either commiserate with them when things aren’t going well, or celebrate with them when they are. Being a hand’s-on kind of person, I HATE when I can’t help! But parenting is the ultimate planned obsolescence: if you do your job well, they won’t need you anymore. Hopefully they’ll still call and stop by occasionally! My second son and his girlfriend were here for the past 5 days and they left a few hours ago, to drive through a snowstorm to get back home to Michigan. I won’t be able to really relax until they let me know they’re home safely. I’d prefer if I was the one doing the driving in scary weather! But they are adults now. I’m just glad they still like to spend time with their old parents!
I am looking forward to a resolution to my migraines and the ability to move on with my life.
I’m looking forward to less bills, better health, no surgeries and my patient and supporting husband being by my side during it all!
Sounds like you both have a lot of wonderful things on tap for 2014 – both personally and professionally! Best of luck with everything! Beverly – I hope your son comes home safely – thank you to him for serving our country! Good luck to your daughter in her new school 🙂 Tamara – best of luck to your daughter in her new home and to your younger daughter in her post-graduate life 🙂
And I almost forgot – thanks for the hop!!
