Blurb:
Abbey couldn’t believe he was gay. She nearly ran away from her dreams of being a children’s book writer when she was introduced to her illustrator Sloan O’Riley, a dark, sensual Irishman with incredible blue eyes. He certainly couldn’t be good for Abbey’s relationship with her boyfriend back in Iowa. How could she stay in New York and work with the sinfully sexy Sloan even if he was gay? And when Sloan is threatened to be deported, how far would Abbey go to keep him in the US?

Sloan was forced to tell a little white lie. He had no choice. He couldn’t let the sweet, beautiful, Abbey Wright flee from his life – not without a chance to explore the sudden desire he felt for her. But what would Abbey do if she ever discovered the truth about Sloan’s sexuality – or learned the deeper, darker secret he’s been hiding?

Review:
When I saw the title of this book I knew I had to read it since my family comes from Ireland and to see that the book starts in Iowa which is where I live. I really loved the cover of the book and the blurb was something that I couldn’t turn away from.

Abbey gets the shock of her life when she hears from a publisher wanting to publish her children’s book. It is a dream come true. So away she goes to she the publishing company and the person who is going to illustrate her book to make it come alive. When she sees Sloan for the first time something hits her and she runs out demanding someone else.

Sloan knows that he can’t let her go and wants to see what they can become together so he tells her that he is gay. Little does he know that will come back and haunt him along with her boyfriend that takes all the money that she has out of her bank account and then flees.

I can’t tell you how much I loved this story. It is one of those books that grabs you and doesn’t let go. You are still feeling it after the book is done. I know that there were more to Sloan then what he was telling. I guess we just don’t worry about it because of his good looks and the way he treats a woman. Especially a woman that he loves. I like a book that has a strong male character but he still doesn’t take his strength out on a woman.

I just want to know if Sloan did anything to Michael. He warned him but it never said. I know that Sloan wouldn’t let something like that go. This is a book that I will be coming back to read again. There is just something the author did with her characters that has me wanting more. I can just imagine Sloan talking in that voice of his and it sends shivers down my spine.

I recommend that everyone try this book. The author did an amazing job when she brought this story to life.
